Fifty Nine: Ruined Coronation

Third Person POV:

Making their way into the gym, the Yamamotos were still overwhelmed with grief. "I still can't believe that sis is gone..." Morgan was trying his best to hold in his tears. Robin rubs her sons back, "Nether we can believe it at all..." Chrom stopped and turned at his family, "I know we're all struggling here but eventually we have to accept the fact that she's gone..." A tear leaked from his eyes, "Chrom are you okay?" Robin asks him. "I... I wish..." Robin pulls him in as he cries on her shoulder, "There there..." She then hugs her husband to comfort him. Morgan then speaks out, "Mom, dad, I hate to say this but I think we have to accept that now... even though it'll be hard for us to adjust towards it in our new lives without her..." They both looked at him, "Morgan is right... we have to get over with it eventually..." They all finally entered the gym.

Coming towards the high school was Kirby and he was being accompanied by Susie. Kirby suddenly stopped in his tracks, "Kirby what's wrong?" She asks him. "I-" He sniffs, "I miss MK..." Susie bent towards his level to hug him. "I know you miss him. Just the way I had treated him in the past only makes me regret trying to be kinder to him. Especially since none of us expected him to suddenly leave our lives." She wipes his tears away and tries her best to comfort him. Kirby looks at her, "I wish he was still here..." "That's my wish as well. And that includes all of his friends, especially Lucina. Poor girl didn't deserve to die." Susie replies to him. She tries to drag him into the school but he won't move at all. Susie looks at him, "You're scared aren't you?" Kirby nods, "And that's because that he died here, right?" Kirby nods again and cried more. "I may not know how you feel... but I understand your feelings. From here on out, I'll be by your side. Do you understand?" Susie asks him and Kirby hugs her, "Thank you." "You're welcome." The duo continued their walk to enter the gym.

As everyone was entering the gym, all of the staff members were talking with each other. "Can't believe that Kazuya gave out the green light for the coronation." Mr. Dedede spoke out first. Ms. Peach wiped a tear away from her face, "And yet we still haven't gave the other students a proper funeral..." Both Byleth and Erdrick sighed and she speaks first, "Not only we witnessed the lost innocent souls during the attack but I also have to give Rob the crown. And it doesn't even look like he's showing any remorse at all." Erdrick steps in the conversation, "And how come he isn't punished as he usurped the title for Champion meanwhile the recently deceased students didn't get the justice they deserved?" Mr. Ridley then speaks out, "It's simple, he's probably planning something already." "Like what?" Ryu asks him. "I unfortunately don't know but knowing Kazuya, he probably has some way to turn this whole event around." Mr. Ridley pauses as the timer then begins to ring. "The coronation is about to begin, let's see what he has in store." All of the teachers then split apart from each other.

The loud drums began to rumble as Rob was just finishing up on the final preparations for his coronation. Rob walks out from the curtains and he sees that the gym was full and the drums stopped the trumpets began to blare out. Rob walked towards Byleth and bent himself towards her so she can place the crown on top of his head. However he was interrupted when the second round of trumpets began to play out loud. "Get on with the ceremony!" Rob shouts as he makes a grin on his face. Finally I can enjoy my coronation without knowing that cursed orphan is around or even alive at all. And without him or his friends, there is little competition for me! He thought to himself and make a quiet chuckle as the final round of trumpets played he bends himself again. Being fed up with it, he used his mechanical eye to use its laser beam, literally cutting off the music and the trumpets.

Finally without any more interruptions, Byleth places the crown on Rob's head. Finally, mines once again! He makes a huge smile, "My fellow colleagues in Super Smash Bros. High," he opens his speech with full confidence. Meanwhile back on the bleachers with the still grieving Yamamotos, Morgan turns his attention towards the doors leading towards the outside as he heard something. "as your Undisputed Champion of the High School I-" Rob was cut off when Morgan suddenly shouted, "WATCH OUT!" He dragged his parents as far away from the doors as he can. Rob gasps as well as he recognizes that he sees a vehicle coming towards the gym at high speed. But it wasn't any vehicle, it was his limbo.

The other bystanders that were near the door immediately got out of the way as it crashed right outside of the gym and the impact was strong enough to shake the building. Rob looks at his remaining Primids that were acting as his bodyguards, "Seize them!" They all rushed in and one by one, they were being dismantled, torn apart, and thrown back into the gym all beaten up. One of the Primids upper body was thrown right in front of the steps. Rob growls and shouted, "WHO DARES TO INTERRUPT MY CORONATION?"

"That would be me!" That voice has shook Rob up to the core. "It can't be- is it-" Stepping out of the smoke, it was MK, alive. Rob gasps in absolute disbelief, "THE ORPHAN IS ALIVE?!" Everyone in the gym looked down on MK and gasped. He was covered in bruises and oil with the shattered metal mask still covering his mouth. Not only did he came back from the dead but so did Lucina, Roy, Ren, Cloud, Sora, Pythra, Link, and Zelda as they all walked into the gym. "LUCINA!" Her family cried out to her. "MK!" Both Kirby and Susie cheered out. "THEY'RE ALIVE?!" All of the teacher shouted in unison. "I was expecting anything but that!" Mr. Ridley commented.

Rob immediately takes off his crown and jumps down towards him. "This is impossible! How are you even alive right now?!" Rob asked him. "Let's just say that they had some divine, or in this case, sinister intervention." The group and Rob turned their attentions towards the source. Principal Kazuya Mishima walked out of the shadows with a smile. "In fact, both MK and Cloud have comeback from the dead to take their rightful places as Champions. Dark Samus, you may walk down now-" Rob immediately cuts him off, "NEVER!" He then rushes at MK and begins to talk to him, "Just let this be known orphan, I AM THE RIGHTFUL CHAMPION OF THIS HIGH SCHOOL!" MK calmly looks at him, "Is that so?" "Yes! And there will be nothing to convince me to give up on my power and position at all!" Rob replied to him. "That's a shame to be honest, because both me and Lucina made a bet that if you had become the Champion for the third year in a row, she'd break up with me and consider dating you." Rob's eyes lit up in excitement, "Is that true?!" He looks at Lucina and she moves her hands. "Uh I'm sorry but what's with the hand movements she made?" Rob asked them. Roy then replies to him, "She's speaking in sign language." "And what did she say?" Rob asks again. This time Ren replied to him, "She said, 'I would have said anything about that if your Mecha MK didn't break my vocal cords!' Oh and behind you."

"Huh?" Rob turns around to be met with the Galaxia's handle hitting him in the face. 'Mythra' takes control of Pythra's body, "NOW ITS YOUR CHANCE MK! GO!" She shouts at him. He nods and runs straight towards the crown at the top of the little tower. "Take back your rightful place Masked, no, Meta Knight!" Principal Mishima chanted out to him. "GO MK!" "YOU GOT THIS!" Both Kirby and Susie cheered for him. The entire gym began rooting for him and chanted for his victory.

Rob gets back up from the ground and saw MK running towards the crown. "MY CROWN!" He activated his thrusters on his legs to catch up to him. As for MK he spread open his wings and took flight. MK reaches his arm outwards to grab the crown. The symbol of respect was within at arms length. This if not only for me, but also for Kirby and Lucina. MK thought to himself. "Almost there..." He whispers and he suddenly feels a hand grabbing his leg, "Huh?" MK looks back to see Rob and he pulls him back to the center of the gym. GET YOUR FILTHY HANDS AWAY FROM MY CROWN, ORPHAN! Rob shouted in his mind. MK crashed onto the stage and immediately got out of the way when Rob tried to dive into MK and missed his punch. Both Rob and MK stared each other down as the entire gym went quiet and everyone was witnessing their Final Showdown. Rob then spoke out to MK, "I won't let you take victory, AWAY FROM ME!"
