The first fight between Dark Pit and MK has begun. Lucina begins her observations in hopes to prove her theory correct. If one of them shows any signs of being completely off character, what's when I'll strike. Lucina thought to herself. MK makes the first move by slashing at Dark Pit. He counterattacks with his 'Forward Air' followed by 'Electroshock'. It sends MK flying off the stage but he recovers with his 'Drill Rush' also damaging Dark Pit in the process. Once Dark Pit crashes at the floor he immediately recovers and use 'Forward Smash' knocking MK away from him.

He charges his Bow and MK thought of an idea. Looks like I need to close my distance between him right now. MK uses his cape to teleport to...

Real World

MEET HIM FACE on. Only that he was still a bit away from Dark Pit and took a 'Dark Arrow' to his body. He lands and Dark Pit takes it as an opportunity to jump on him. MK however recovers quickly and uses his 'Down Smash' knocking Dark Pit away. He tries to recover but MK immediately kicks him the moment he tries to land back on the stage. It was then followed by another kick, 'Up Air', another kick, and a failed 'Aerial Loop'.

MK was now descending from the sky and Dark Pit takes this opening and strikes a 'Up Smash' but it wasn't enough to knock him out. MK descends again and Dark Pit tries to spike him with his 'Down Air' but MK just barely dodges it. He tries to punish him for it however he was grabbed and slammed to the ground. While in the air MK quickly recovers and dodges a failed 'Electroshock' follow up attack. "Huh!?" Dark Pit looks in disbelief. MK tries to closes the distance again but was meet with 'Forward Smash' but even that wasn't enough to discourage MK.

Dark Pit tries to seize control on the match but MK has other plans. Okay, it's my turn! MK thought to himself as he recovers and hits Dark Pit with his 'Drill Rush' again back to the stage. Dark Pit approaches him but was slashed for a little bit. He tries to use 'Electroshock' but even MK's rapid slashes were enough interrupt his attack. He grabs Dark Pit and he surprises everyone when he flies with Dark Pit in his hands and slams dunk him to the ground. He then follows it up with a successful 'Aerial Loop' taking the first 'Stock'. The whole group was shocked at this sudden move by MK. Lucina turns to Roy, "Did you know he did that ever?" She asks and Roy turns to her, "No not at all! This is the first time I've seen him done something like this!" Roy responds.

Dark Pit returns to the stage, spikes MK with 'Down Air' and uses 'Electroshock' but yet that wasn't enough to knock him out. "MK is literally built different! I think the torment from Rob only hardened him up or maybe I'm just not hitting hard enough!" Dark Pit comments on the situation he's in. "And I'm actually impressed!" MK once again recovers to the stage with his 'Drill Rush' and hits Dark Pit in the process. He hits Dark Pit with his 'Forward Air,' Dark Pit retaliates with a 'Down Tilt' knocking him away. He sees MK trying to land another hit on him. "Oh that can be good. Activate Shield!" Dark Pit succeeds on parrying his attack moves behinds him and lands another 'Down Tilt' on him, knocking him off the ground.

They continue to attempt to land any good hits on each other and while they're fighting Sora asks Lucina another question, "So what exactly are you trying to look for in your control experiment?" "I simply need to see their fighting style, behavior, and-" just as she was about to finish her sentence, Dark Pit takes one of MK's stocks by striking with a 'Down Smash' attack. When MK returned to the stage she noticed a key detail. "And what?" Sora asked. "and if they can bleed." MK lands a 'Forward Smash' on Dark Pit and the two boys exchange rapid slashes at each other. While they were fighting both Cloud and Pythra noticed that 'Dark MK' was extremely focused into the fight. "Hey Pythra you're also noticing this behavior as well?" Cloud asks and she nods. "Yes and I remember during Roy's fight with Rob he couldn't handle on seeing his friend getting a beatdown. This MK however is on a different story. He's extremely focused on how both MK and Dark Pit are fighting. Surely both Roy and Ren would've noticed as well." She comments. "Hey look!" Link points at the moment where MK just grabbed Dark Pit after he recovered back to stage with 'Electroshock' and rapidly stomps on him a few times.
