Thirty Seven: Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Third Person POV:

Christmas Eve

Snow, there is snow everywhere in New Donk City. The kids are building snowmen, whole groups are having their own snowball fights, and couples going out on their Christmas dates. And speaking of dates, MK is getting ready for his Christmas Eve date. He barely leaves the shower and begins to groom himself. After he applies gel on his hair, brushed his teeth, and washed his face. He finally left the bathroom to start dressing up. It was quiet until he heard a knock. "MK are you ready?" He looks at the door, "Yeah just give me a little bit of more time." MK grabbed his wallet and phone. He looked at his phone and noticed he had a new message.

Lucy <3: Merry Christmas Eve MK <3

Me: Merry Christmas Eve Lucina!

Lucy <3: You, Kirby and your friends
are still coming over right?

Me: Of course! I'm just going to get
some gifts real quick! Hopefully I'll be
there before 7.

Lucy <3: Alright! Just be careful!

Me: I'll be careful.

Lucy <3: :)

Me: :)

MK puts his phone away and walked out of his room. "Ready MK?" Kirby asks him again. "Yeah, I'm ready. Let's go now!" The boys left the orphanage and met up with Roy and Ren. "Are you guys ready?" MK asks them. "Yep!" Roy replies. "Ready for the gift exchanges!" Ren carries the bag containing their gifts. MK looks at the list that contained the gifts he has planned to give. "Actually, there is one more gift I want to get." All of the boys looked at him. "Just follow me to Funky Kong's General Store." They all began their walk to the store. The boys began to talk as they were halfway to the store, "So MK, what gifts did you get for Lucina?" Ren asks him only to get a response in sign language, 'I don't want to spoil it.' "That's reasonable. Then... how about regular gifts you're going to give her?" Roy asks. "The usual, milk chocolate candy and bluebell flowers." MK responded.

"Is that really all you're going to give her? You should give her something more than that!" MK and the boys looked around to see who was talking to them. Roy, Ren, and Kirby gasped when they saw who it was. "SUSIE?!" "Yep! Anyways where were you boys going?" Susie asks them. "We were going to a general store to get gifts but if you're here to bother us." Roy and Ren immediately stepped forward out of pure instinct and Susie immediately started backing away. "WAIT!" MK rushed to step in between them. "MK?" The two boys were shocked. "I must've forgot to tell you guys about this but I've actually forgave her." Their eyes went wide, "You can't be serious." "I am serious. On the same night me and Lucy became an official couple we've actually talked it out." The boys turned their attention to Susie, "I admit what I was doing was wrong. And I want to make amends to that. So, shall we go to the general store?" Susie asks them. With some slight hesitation, both Roy and Ren gave each other a nod. "Sure." Susie smiles, "Then what are we waiting for?" She grabs both of their hands, "Let's go!" Susie drags them as both MK and Kirby followed her.

The group finally entered the general store and were greeted by Funky Kong, "Well now MK, let me guess, last minute shopping?" MK nods. "So what can I possibly give you?" 'The usual gifts and this.' MK tells him in sign language while he pulls out the same piece of paper and pointed at something. "Say no more MK! You kids can keep on shopping while I get the gift ready!" Funky Kong leaves to the back rooms. Susie looks at the boys, "Roy, Ren, both of you can do your own shopping. MK and Kirby will be with me." The group splits apart. When Susie was confident enough that Roy or Ren wouldn't hear them she starts talking, "Alright MK, let us improve on the gifts for her!" "Anything you have in mind?" MK asks. "Hm, well besides those flowers and chocolates, what else does she like?"
