A/N: I'm guessing by this point you all know what this little one shot is. So enjoy because this song I think really reflects sokeefe even though after book 9 this fanfic is kinda useless. I think oneshots are still slay.

ALSO did you guys listen to Heaven by Niall Horan...wow that song slaps.

Ok here we go...

Also lyrics are in italics!

Start song at 0:28

But being here without you is like waking up to...

Sophie emerged down the hall and spotted me at the end of the hall.  She turned to me and her brown eyes sparkled and ran to me and hugged me, her biology books crushing against my chest.

Ever since Foster defeated the Neverseen, she decided to go back and study at a prestigous college in the United States, also so she could be closer to her sister.

Only half a blue sky...

I think that was really nice of her. A little side effect of that was that we never got to see her anymore. And by we I meant me. The others kind of just moved on with their lives. But I couldn't help it. Foster was such an important part of me now and I couldn't just...leave her behind. And the others...I get it. Sophie was their friend, but to me.

She was so much more...she was my family.

Kinda there but not quite...

So I took a huge leap of faith. I moved to the Lost Cities, ever since we had defeated the Neverseen 5 years ago...Sophie begged the council to reinitiate their Human Assistance Program and they eventually agreed. But renamed it Human Alliance Program, actually scratch that title, alliance's weren't the elves strongest points.

But I couldn't leave her, and I couldn't beg her to stay. That was selfish and I saw the look on her face when she was about to leave, she was finally.

Content.

Content with her life.

But I was selfish in the end. I asked to come with her.

And the look in her eyes. To this day, its an empath's greatest mystery, the emotion in her eyes, was indescribable, no one knew what that emotion was, but it was intense. But then again Foster does has some strong emotions

I'm walking around with just one shoe...

And now, seeing her clutching her books so excitedly, seeing her avidly chatting with her sister, eating the (in my opinion) horrible food with such nostalgia. I didn't need her to love me.

He smiled at the thought.

I'm half a heart without you...

And I didn't need her to feel romantic feelings towards me.

I didn't need her affection

I didn't need to be her partner.

Or her lover.

I just needed her.

To know she was there.

I'm half a man at best...

Because

Life is like...a night sky full of stars...

And love, is one star in a constellation.

Insignificant, just something that shines.

With half an arrow in my chest...

But not everything that glitters is gold.

But sometimes if it's the right star, one that glows so bright and stands out from all others.

It is significant

I miss everything we do...

But all love isn't forever, it's just one star.

I'm half a heart without you...

One in a million

One in a sky full of stars....

Foster is a sky full of stars.

And I'm a stargazer.

Admiring her from below.

True love stories never end. They just begin.

Because love...in whatever form it may be.

Is eternal.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
At the beginning when you fall in love, there's hope. It's all sweetness and light and loveliness...
"It's more like every electron in every atom in the universe paused, breathed in deeply, assessed the situation, and then reversed its course, spinning backward, or the other way, which was the right way all along. And afterward, the universe was exactly the same, but infinitely more right."
- Lydia Netzer
"To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything and your heart will be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact you must give it to no one, not even an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket, safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. To love is to be vulnerable." – C.S. Lewis
A/N: I'm actually in love with this one. I know it's not a romantic oneshot but it is so sweet.
