Roomates

"PUSH!" Selena and I screamed as we motivated Kristen to push harder.

"I am pushing!" she replied in between breaths.

"Push harder! Its almost there!" I screamed ignoring her.

"YOU'RE GUYS AREN'T HELPING!" she screamed while she stopped pushing.

"We were the ones that pushed those to beds together," I said while pointing to the to beds, "While you simply 'encouraged' us."

She let out a grunt but then silently proceeded with pushing the last bed together. You see our other two roommates hadn't arrived yet so we decided to put our boredom to use and started to push our three beds together.

"Can't you guys just help me," she whined as she stopped pushing and rested her elbows on the mattress.

"Fine, but you owe us," said Selena while walking toward her and the beds.

"Alright," I said getting in my pushing position determined for this to happen. "One, two, three. PUSH!"

We all began to push the bed as hard a we could at the same time making loud noises that could have been mistaken for something else.

"Uhh, maybe we should come back later."

I whipped my head around to the source of the familiar voice.

Great timing...

It was Jake...and Dan.

"We were just...preparing ourselves.." I said looking at the beds then back at the two boys that were standing in front of me.

Dan let out a chuckle while shaking his head obviously amused.

"Yea..." I said then looked at Kristen and Selena for back up...nothing.

Gee, thanks guys.

"Uhhh...water?" I asked nervously.

That wasn't exactly the question I wanted to ask, but you know it kinda just came out.

The real question was-

"What are you guys doing here?" I turn around to find that it was Kristen who had asked that question, maybe with a little too much accusation in her voice.

"We are your roommates!" screamed Jake cheerfully.

Wait...we?

Selena only said that Dan was rooming with us.

I turned around to face her and gave her a major death glare while she smiled sheepishly at her feet.

"Do you guys need help with that?" Asked Jake pointing to the beds.

"No, we're just fine," replied Kristen quickly.

"Oh joy," I said to myself sarcastically kinda disappointed that we were that we were gonna have to push the bed again.

"Lets go," said Selena her voice drooping with disappointment.

We all stood next to the bed which was now only a couple inches away from the other two beds which were squished against the wall.

"Just push the dang beds and lets get this over with," I said to them as we all stood there not doing anything.

Kristen, Selena and I all sat on our beds which were now neatly pressed together.

We were all lying on our stomachs facing the TV.

You see, after several protests Jake and Dan finally convinced us..and by us I mean Kristen, that we obviously weren't going to push the beds together alone and that they should do it.

After that it only five minutes for the two boys to accomplish what would've taken us thirty minutes to accomplish.

"Can we get a thank you?" asked Dan standing in front of our TV with his arms crossed.

"Thank you for what?" I asked moving my head in all directions trying to watch TV but he kept moving the same direction I would.

"Thank you!" screamed Selena annoyed trying to get him out of the way.

Dan touched his chest in feign hurt, "Ouch, maybe try again...with a little more sincerity."

Kristen, Selena and I all looked at each other mentally deciding what to do.

"No," Kristen finally spoke up, "Now, move."

"Alright, if you say so," he said moving out of the way with a smirk plastered on his face.

Wait.. This isn't right.

I might not have known Dan for a long time, but boy do I know he's competitive and will do about anything to win.

He turned to look at me as if he knew I was suspecting something.

"Are you sure you don't wanna change your mind?" he asked looking directly at me.

"Yes, now go eat a banana or something," said Selena shooing him not taking her eyes of the TV.

My eyes on the other hand were locked on Dan.

What was he planning..?

"JAKE! ATTACK!" He screamed at the top of his lungs while taking a water gun from behind him. While Jake popped out of the corner behind us with another water gun.

These idiots are so gonna pay...
