Our Wet New Roommate

Kristen, Selena and I sat on the kitchen counter, each of us with water guns in hand.

You see after Dan and Jake's surprise attack we tackled them taking there water guns while they ran off screaming they'd come back with more water to spray us with.

So we went to the kitchen and set it up for war, basically were hiding from them and protecting our weapons.

"It's been five minutes where do you think they went?" asked Selena gripping onto the water gun tightly.

We all sat on the counter keeping an eye on the open doorway and the door to the hotel room. We were all soaked because in the process of getting the water guns our plan backfired on us when I tripped on Kristen causing her to fall and causing Selena to fall which gave the boys an opportunity to soak us in water.

Curse me and my clumsiness, I swear one of these days it's gonna be the end of me.

"I don't know...maybe they're getting new guns," I suggested fidgeting with the trigger of mine.

Something else happened in the process of stealing the water guns, Kristen and Selena went to tackle Dan cuz appear you he was bigger I'm height.

Which was true...

But that also meant I had to tackle Jake...alone. I hesitated which only ended up with me getting extra wet, but it also caused me to be angered.

Anger and determination, that's where my strength came from.

If it wasn't for that I wouldn't have been able to tackle him to the floor and pin his wrists down.

"You're pretty strong for your size," he said struggling to get me to let go of his wrists.

"You shouldnt be talking," i replied tighting my grip on his wrists.

"You mightve been taller than me, but now its kinda the oppsite,'" he said no longer struggling but relaxing his arms and looking at me directly in my eyes.

"Shut up...'" i mumbled looking anywhere but into his eyes.

"By the way, i like this position," he said nodding his head at me.

I looked down at the way i was on top of him.

Oh lord save me....

I was straddling him...

I shook my head trying to stop thinking about that memory.

"You okay?" asked Kristen leaning towards me, with worry in her eyes.

I quickly nodded, "Yeah...just thinking thats all."

She nodded at me obviously no convinced but she thankfully dropped the subject. If i talked or even thought about Jake anymore i wouldve considered killing myself, this boy has to get out of my head, like soon.

"Guys look!" Selena screamed half whispered pointing to the doorknob.

Oh joy! A distraction!

The door knob was moving, obviously meant that someone was trying to get it, i prepared my water gun and pretended to unlock it as people in action movies did.

"Ready?" I asked silently jumping of the counter and making my way to the door ready to attack.

"Ready," Kristen and Selena replied at the same time nodding their heads.

*click*

And the door opened, "CHARGEEE!"

We all began shooting water that the boys until we heard laughing.

Why would they laugh!

And that didn't sound like two people...

Oh shit...

Just great.

Perfect.

Magnificent.

Wonderful.

It wasn't them...

But if it wasn't them...then who were we shooting at!?

"If I'm gonna get this kind of welcome then I think I'm just gonna buy a raincoat," said a British voice.

Kristen, Selena and I all looked at each other with the same expression.

Whoops...

"Uhh, who are you?" I asked backing away from the stranger.

Not that he looked old or weird or unattractive, in fact he was neither. He seemed about our age, eighteen, he was tall and had blond hair with brown roots. His chocolate brown eyes stared at us in amusement and he let a chuckle escape his perfect lips. I looked at Selena who wore the same nervous expression as me. Then I looked at Kristen who was staring dreamily at the stranger, I looked at the stranger then back to Kristen.

Oh yes...I was gonna plan something, but first...who exactly is this dude.

"I'm Alec, I'm an exchange student from England, if I'm correct I'm rooming with you guys," he replied my question dropping his bags on the floor in a care-free way.

"Alec..? W-we didn't hear anything about a sixth roommate," I said knotting my eyebrows in confusion.

"If I am correct love, I'm rooming with three girls named, Kristen, Cassie, and Selena," he paused and I nodded confirming that was us, "And two other guys named Jake and Dan."

This time Kristen spoke up, "That's all correct but we weren't informed."

"I've heard," he said looking at each one of us in confusion then handing us a piece of paper.

"What's this?" I asked.

"Why don't you read it...Cassie?" he said ending his sentence with my name. Or asking me my name.

I nodded at him and then Selena and Kristen huddled around me to look at the piece of paper. It said he was indeed our roommate and that he was also an exchange student.

"Hey guys, we're back," said Jake as him and Dan walked in.

"Hey," we all replied unison. While Alec looked between them.

"Jake and Dan?" He asked his British accent coming off strong.

"Yes that is indeed us Sir," said Dan mocking his British accent.

"Uhh, Jake, Dan," I said awkwardly, "Meet our new roommate Alec."
