I sat on the couch anxiously tapping my fingers on my knee waiting for the boys and my best friends to come out so we could go.

I was also waiting for Jake to jump out from somewhere and tell me that Alec had already made the first move.

But it never happened, what did happen was that one by one everyone piled into the room ready to leave. Even though it had barely taken them ten minutes to get ready, for me it felt like hours.

For one thing, today wasn't just an ordinary day, today was THE day that Alec would make the move. And for another...I was really hoping my plan would work.

I have many reasons for wanting this to succeed. Some of them are selfish others are completely selfless.

You see, Kristen and I shared the same crush ever since middle school.

That's right, Jake.

That's why one of the reasons I wanted my plan to succeed to badly was, for a chance. If Kristen and Alec were to get together...I wouldn't feel like I was committing a crime by liking the same guy as my best friend.

That was only one reason, I also just wanted her to be happy. Kristen is not only my best friend she's my sister, and all I want her to have is happiness. I know that won't ever be possible if we like the same guy, because even if Jake did develop feelings for Kristen or already had them, the guilt would kill her. Just like it would me if it was reversed.

It's like dating an unavailable person, you know it's wrong. And you know you're hurting someone. But you do it anyway. Why? Because you feel selfish. Like you have a NEED to be with that person. and also love makes you do crazy things.

The thing is not everyone can be happy at the same time.

Secrets might stay hidden for a while, but the thing is they're like horror movies, you know one day the secret will come out, just like you know that in movies you know the bad guy will kill. You just don't know when.

And the longer it takes for it to happen, the more it hurts you and other people when it comes out. The wait also kill you oh so very slowly.

So there you go, I had my reasons. They might be really selfish, but I also just wanna see my best friend happy.

"You ready?" Alec asked once he entered the room.

I simply nodded at him and got up from my spot. I hope you're ready, because if you're not, then I definitely think my best friend deserves better.

"You okay?" someone whispered behind me. I quickly turned around expecting to see Jake but instead it was Dan.

"Yeah, just thinking that's all."

"Well you've got a pretty intense thinking face," he joked while smirking at me.

"And you don't have one at all," I smirked back.

"You just got owned brother!" screamed Alec at the top of his lungs.

I bowed, "Thank you, thank you."

"It wasn't even that good," mumbled Dan walking away from me.

"Sour loser!" I laughed as he continued to walk in front of the group with his shoulder slumped.

The rest of the walk wasn't necessarily normal. From the fact that Kristen, Selena and I all skipped. To the fact that Jake, Dan and Alec copied us. Which of course only made them look like complete idiots.

There's was also the random lyrics being screamed at awkward silences which didn't happen often.

Then there's also the tripping contest we all had. Which consisted of all of us trying to trip each other. Dan did a face-plant causing all of us to burst into a fit of laughter. As he laid on the floor chuckling once in a while at our weird laughter.
