Feelings or No Feelings?

I stood in front of the mirror adjusting my bathing suit and my hair. While Selena and Kristen fought in the background over who was gonna wear the pink bikini.

"Just do Rock Paper Scissors!" I screamed as I finally got tired of their fighting.

"Fine," they both muttered, but proceeded with the fighting.

I let out a groan in frustration and then walked out of our bathroom making away to our bedroom which had all of our beds. I sat on my bed, which I shared with the idiots who I called my best friends.

I sat there silently thinking to myself.

About what?

Everything.

Dan.

Alec.

Selena.

And Jake.

Thinking about Alec's little crush on Kristen and wondering if he was gonna act on it.

If he didn't I swore to myself I would kick him where the sun doesn't shine.

"Guess who?" someone whispered lightly placing their hands on my eyes.

I giggled to myself forcefully making the persons hands come off my face, and turning around.

Jake.

Not sure if it was expected or unexpected.

But it was Jake.

"Oh come on Cassie! You were supposed to guess!" he complained.

I laughed at his childish nature and then an imaginary lightbulb lit on top of my head.

I knew a way I could make it almost certain for Alec to make a move.

Jake.

"Hey Jake, can I ask you on favor?" I asked innocently batting my eyelashes.

"Sure, what's up?" he replied suspiciously.

"Help me with something.." I replied trying my best to be mysterious.

"Give me a real answer and I'll help," he replied with a smirk.

I sighed, Kristen would seriously have to pay me for this, "Okay, so I was talking to Alec earlier..."

"And.." He urged me to go on impatiently.

"We'll, he admitted her feelings for Kristen," I said.

"Any new news Cassie?" he replied faking to be bored.

"Well, I need your help, he needs to make a move," I said snapping my fingers in front of his face attempting to get his attention.

"Maybe he needs time," he suggested.

"Nope, with Kristen there's no time, either he makes a move now or he never will be able to," I said firmly.

"Why can't she?" he asked obviously determined to give his buddy some time.

"She's the type of girl that thinks that the guy HAS to make the first move," I said shrugging my shoulders as if it was the most obvious thing.

"Are YOU one of those girls too?" he said eyeing me.

"Well yea," I replied, "But I believe desperate times call for desperate actions."

"What does that mean?" Asked Jake scrunching up his eyebrows in confusion.

"It means sometimes the boy is very clueless and doesn't see the obvious so the girl is forced to make the first move."

He nodded at me but didn't say anything.

"But I don't want Kristen and Alec to be like that, so I am determined to make him make the first move."

Jake sighed in defeat while I smiled victoriously, "Fine, what do you need me to do?"

"Well, it actually really simple," I paused to make sure his attention was still focused on my words, "Talk to him, convince him the ONLY way to get Kristen is to make a move soon."

"Is it the only way?" He asked.

"Like I said, desperate times call for desperate actions, and I really don't want Kristen to have a desperate time."

"Alright, I'm on it," he replied getting up and leaving me on the bed which moved slightly due to the current weight being lifted off it.

*Jake*

"Alright, I'm on it," I replied getting up from the bed and walking away from Cassie.

I gotta say Cassie was a special girl, but right at the moment I had Spencer. I haven't talked to her ever since she found out I was gonna be roommates with Cassie and her friends.

She freaked out, she might've been extremely mean to Cassie, and what Cassie had said to her when we first arrived was extremely deserved. But she was still my girl, and I couldn't go against that.

Spencer is actually a sweet girl, it's just her jealousy clouds her judgement causing her to act like a bitch.

I felt my phone vibrate in my back pocket and immediately reached for it.

Spence:

Can we do something today? I feel extremely bad for overreacting about your new roommates. Xx

I smiled to myself and then sighed, I kinda promised Cassie. Even if I was Spencer's and she was mine. I couldn't dealt with the thought of disappointing Cassie.

Me:

Sorry babe Dan, Cassie, Kristen, Selena, and I are all going out. Maybe later?

I nervously let my thumb hover over the 'send' button debating whether or not to send it. When I finally did I got an instant reply from her.

Spence:

Oh, that's fine. Have fun. Xx

I sighed to myself knowing I had hurt her by rejecting her for my friends, but I had already made plans.

"Dude, are you alright man?" I heard Dan speak.

"Yeah, it's just Spencer," I replied showing him my phone allowing him to read my texts.

"You realize she's upset, she probably thinks you've got feelings for Cassie or something."

I nodded and began to feel guilty.

"Do you?"

"Do I what?" I asked Dan looking at him confused.

"Like Cassie?" he asked suspiciously.

"I-what! No!" I replied quickly.

"Really?" he said not believing me,"You snuck out with her in the morning to watch the sunset, you rejected Spencer for her-"

I cut him off, "I rejected Spencer to hang out with all of you, and-"

He then cut me off, "AND you also just stood there smiling when she innocently insulted Spencer."

I looked down, he had some valid proof. But I was beyond positive that the only strong feelings I had for a girl was Spencer.

"I've got valid proof Jake," said Dan speaking my thoughts.

I remained quiet trying to think of something smart to say and shut him up.

"I don't like Cassie-in a romantic way," I finally replied trying to sound confident but my voice coming out a little shaky.

"Are you trying to convince me? Or yourself?" he asked before turning around and left me thinking about his question.
