Man Up and Just Ask Her Out!

"So," I said munching on my food,"What are we all doing today?"

"Don't we have that tour thingy today?" asked Selena with her mouth full.

I closed my eyes in displeasure, "First of all...I love you...but swallow first. And I think that's in the afternoon."

She gave me a slight glare but then nodded.

"Are we gonna do anything?" asked Jake only looking at me.

I shrugged my shoulders,"Depends, what is there to do?"

"Tons," Alec said joining into the conversation.

Kristen gave him a look and opened her mouth about to ask him something-probably how he knew- but Alec beat her to it.

"I got lost on my way to finding the room, got a whole tour from the manager," he said his cheeks turning a little pink.

"Awww," Kristen cooed. While I made a choking sound of how obvious they were both being.

Everyone just laughed at me, and I groaned "But seriously, what are we doing this lovely morning."

"I don't know...I'm just tired," Dan said resting back on his chair.

I gave him a look of disbelief and then threw my hands up in the air in frustration, "AT LEAST YOU SLEPT NINE HOURS!"

He looked at me in amusement and replied,"You could've denied Jake's request to go and 'watch' the sunrise together," he said putting air quotes around watch.

"We did watch it! That's all that happened!" I said quickly my cheeks getting the familiar burning sensation.

"Mhmm, sure," said Selena poking her food looking bored.

I let out a groan of frustration and left the table calling out to them as I left, "We're going to the pool!"

*Alec*

I watched as she walked out of the room screaming something about us going to the pool.

I was a little distracted-watching Kristen- she looked so adorable when she scrunched her eyebrows in confusion.

Okay- I'll admit - I might fancy this girl ever since I saw her standing with her friends at the doorway with soaked clothes to when we snuggled in bed.

I just couldn't get over how...interesting she was.

Her hair is blond but it has brown streaks in it, like mine- but hers is probably natural. The brown and blonde made her hair look golden and the way she looked when she wore those weird pajamas was adorable.

I don't know what it is about this girl that I like-but I just do-it's kinda hard to explain.

"Alec?"

I still couldn't get over how she so willingly let me bring her to my bed. It sparked curiosity in me, but also relief. I couldn't stand it if she had pushed me alway.

"Alec? Are you there?"

I quickly snapped myself out of my trance and faced the person who had been calling my name.

Kristen.

"Cassie said we are going to the pool."

I just nodded at her, and then began to clear the table.

"I'm just gonna go get changed," she said awkwardly and then left.

I stood there slapping myself mentally a couple of time.

There's something called words buddy- use them next time.

I don't know what was wrong with me, I was usually so smooth with hers but with her it's like I swallowed my own tongue.

"Uh..Alec? Any reason why your face palming yourself multiple times?"

Well-there goes acting cool.

I turn and face her expecting it to be Kristen but instead it's Cassie.

She's wearing short shorts with a neon green bikini top. Her dark long wavy hair falling to her shoulders in a perfect way. As her chocolate brown eyes watched me in concern. I'm not gonna lie- Cassie's gorgeous, but it's obvious to everyone-except her- that she's all Jakes.

"Uh yea.." I said trying to sound convincing but not doing very well.

She gave me a knowing smirk and then placed her hands on her hips, "Let me guess, Kristen?"

"I-uh...maybe.." I said fiddling with my fingers.

She chuckled at my nervousness, "Do you happen to have a crush on her?"

"I-no-yes..." I looked up my face flushing.

That was the first time admitting it aloud, and as soon as the words left my lips. I knew it was true. I fancied Kristen- or had a crush on her-whatever Cassie had called it.

She laughed a little shaking her head in amusement. But then her face changed to serious one.

Oh no...she disapproved.

Wait-why did I care.

She's one of her best friends-you should care.

"Just man up and ask her out already!" she said as if it was the most simplest thing ever.

Well, I gotta say. That was unexpected.
