*Cassie*
I shuffled through the room looking for a pair of shorts to wear. I had purposely woken up early in order to avoid Jake, he had come home late last night and the sound of Spencer's giggles made me want to vomit.
I smiled to myself as I found the faded blue shorts I had been looking for and rushed to put them on.
I heard something behind me and quickly hid behind the wall thinking it was Jake. But instead of seeing Jake pass by me I saw Alec, he seemed in a rush also. Except he looked like he had just woken up. I made myself stick against the wall and slowed my breathing hoping to make myself less noticeable.
I watched as Alec rushed to the door and murmured some things under his breath, I also watched as a piece of paper slipped out of his hand and falling onto the wood floor. He didn't seem to notice soon after the paper fell the door slammed closed.
"SERIOUSLY ALEC!" I heard someone scream causing me to jump towards the door and sliding on the floor. I quickly got up and retrieved the piece of paper that had fallen on the floor.
"Cassie" asked someone behind just as I reached for the door handle. I knew exactly who it was, which is why I didn't reply but instead just simply opened the door and rushed out.
"Cassie! Wait" he called after me. A part of me wanted to wait for him and listen to him. Wanted to talk to him again and hear the sound of his voice. But another part of me knew that if I did I wouldn't be able to control the things I would say. I knew that my anger and sadness would not stay hidden but instead it would do quite the opposite.
I quickened my pace as his voice came near and his footsteps became louder. I panicked as I saw that I had gotten myself stuck in a dead end.
Out of all the places I could get myself stuck in this huge hotel I managed to find a dead end, and in the worst time imaginable.
I banged on the wall hoping for it to magically open and reveal I secret entrance, but nothing happened. I could feel my heart quicken in my chest as the footsteps came closer.
What were you supposed to say to someone you didn't even want to speak to? How in the world was I expected to talk to him? What had I done to deserve this!
I couldn't, I just couldn't talk to Jake at the moment, I wouldn't be able to hold myself together and I definitely didn't want to break down in tears in front of him. So I panicked and did the most stupid thing ever.
I rushed to the first door I could find and opened it while quickly shutting it close.
"Damn it Cassie! Where did you go!" I heard Jake mumbled as his footsteps stopped. I quickly let out of a sigh of relief and rested my head against the door slowing sitting against it and closing my eyes.
As soon as his footsteps became more and more quiet I smiled to myself in triumph.
I quickly sat up and straightened my clothes and then realized that I was being faced by another problem. I was in someone's room...and they were asleep.
I quietly cursed to myself I watched the person quietly snore to himself. That's when I knew I couldn't go back to the door, the person slowly shifted in his sleep as I stepped toward the door and the floor boards squeaked underneath me.
I bit my bottom lip mentally kicking myself for doing something this stupid I slowly walked closer to the bed without stepping on any of the squeaky floor boards. I examined the room the room I had just entered. It was a lot simpler than the room I shared with my friends and Jake. All it was a king sized bed in the middle and two nightstands on each side with lamps sitting on them. All the way to the side there was a door which I assumed was the bathroom and on the other side was a window.
That's it! Maybe I wasn't so high up and I could just climb out of the window. I quickly tiptoed to the window knowing this wasn't going to end well if the person where to wake up.
"You know when I said I hope to see you soon," said a deep sleepy voice behind me, "I really wasn't expecting something like this."
I shut my eyes and cursed to myself as I realized who's room I had entered. I slowly turned around and faced Ian who was sitting up in the bed with his bare chest showing and a cheeky smile was plastered on his face.
"I was in a desperate situation," I said hoping he wouldn't ask any questions.
He chuckled and then smiled confidently, " I don't care what brought you here, I'm just happy to see you."
I couldn't help to blush at his words. I knew Alec had told me to stay away and that he was bad news and blah blah blah. But I couldn't understand why, Ian was basically perfect.
He slowly behind to take the covers off his body and I crossed my fingers hoping he was wearing some form of pants but at the same time my mind was hoping he wasn't.
Snap out of it Cassie!
"Take a picture it lasts longer," he said winking. I quickly looked away my cheeks getting hot.
He chuckled at my reaction and started to walk toward me with a smirk. My brain was screaming at me to move out of his way, jump out the window or something! But my feet were stuck to the floor and my eyes locked on his.
"How about we got get some breakfast," he whispered into my ear sending shivers down my back.
Say no.
Remember what Alec said.
It's a simple to letter word, just open your mouth and say it!
Cassie if you say yes you don't know what you could be getting into.
He could be serial killer for all you know!
Just shut up conscience, if he wanted to kill me I would be in a body bag by now.
"Sure," I smiled completely ignoring my conscience and Alec's words.
