Midnight Investigation

I was no ordinary girl. I was a girl on a mission- one of the most dangerous kind.

I was determined to find out more about Alec. Heck none of us even knew his last name so I really had nothing to start with. It was midnight which meant it was officially our second day in the hotel. Which I was spending it on a computer searching up stuff about Alec. Then it hit me...I put what Kristen and Cassie had told me together and bam I searched Elizabeth and Alec in the UK.

You see, all Kristen had said to me- before she drowned herself in her tears- was that Alec had a girlfriend. Then I talked to Cassie- who was much more helpful- considering she hasn't just suffered through a heart break. She told me Alec's mysterious girl was named Elizabeth- this would've been so much more helpful if I remember it when I first started which was like two hours ago. I began to search through articles and then clicked on one that caught my attention.

"Alec McMullen and Elizabeth White the newly married couple."

I gasped quietly to myself at the title, not only did he have a girlfriend...but he was married?! Seriously how old is he?!

I started to skim though the article.

Alec and Elizabeth who have been dating for 2 years now are finally married. It turns out Alec proposed while they disappeared to the island together- With of course Ian and Ian's lovely girlfriend Alex Sanders. What seems extremely odd though, is even though Alec and Elizabeth are married now, there's a big question that's going though everyone's mind. Where is Alex? And what happened to her.

Alex...who the hell was Alex? Ian's girlfriend? Who's Ian...

Millions of things popped into my head until I finally saw that there were pictures. I clicked on them not knowing what to expect. Maybe they've got the wrong Alec...maybe he isn't married. Maybe this is all just a prank and someone is going to pop out of somewhere and scream happy late or extremely early April Fools!

Why is it taking so long! Jeez! This suspense is killing me! I wanna see the dang pictures! Just- ooooh..

The picture slowly started loading revealing a guy who looked like Alec except with brown hair and bangs. Next to him was a girl with long blond and hair a vibrant blue eyes. They looked pretty happy- and I was really hoping that this wasn't Alec, but maybe just his twin brother.

I went to the next picture which loaded a lot quicker than the first- thank god. If it didn't I swore I was going to fall asleep waiting for it. My eyes widened slightly as I looked at the digital image in front of my eyes. There was the guy who looked a lot like Alec, the girl- who I assumed was Elizabeth, and standing next to her was that guy who was talking to Cassie. The guy with baby blue eyes that will make you melt and dark black hair, he was standing next to another girl who had a big smile on her face. I looked at the picture over and over again and finally decided who each person was. I started from the left and went to the right- Alec, Elizabeth, Ian, and Alex. They all seemed so happy, yet again another question popped in my head- who was Ian. I quickly went down and then another article popped up.

"The McMullen Brothers"

I quickly clicked on it and stared at the screen blankly as a picture of Alec and Ian popped up. This time I was positive it was Alex, his hair was blond on the tips and he was wearing a smile on his face. Ian- his brother- wore the same smile except his looked more pained and forced. I looked at the date of the article, July 6 2012. I quickly nodded at the date this was last year...something clicked in my mind. I went off the article and went to the one of the marriage.

"After coming back from their trip- the location still remains unknown- Elizabeth showed off her new ring. Who knew that on this date- July 1st the first day back we would see such a thing."

So, they came back on July first...this picture was from July sixth. When did they leave...

I brought my mouse up to the search engine and typed in.

An article pops up and I click on it almost immediately. They left on June twenty-first. The picture of all of them together- they seemed happy. But then the picture of them after the trip...it was different. Something happened on that trip.

This was sounding like a real mystery, specially the fact that Alex Sanders was still MIA. I started to look through picture of Ian and her, they seemed in love- I wonder what happened.

"Sel..what the hell are you doing," someone said behind me causing me to slam the laptop shut and jump slightly. It was Dan, I let out a breath of relief.

"You scared me," I said clutching to my heart.

"Sorry," he said chuckling tiredly. I then noticed what he was wearing...no shirt and long pajama pants. I looked down at my pajamas- no onesies today...thank god- instead I was wearing shorts and singlet.

"Come on Lena it's late," he said grabbing my hand and dragging me along. I knew he couldn't see me but I stuck my tongue out at him as he said his nickname for me. He had come up with it earlier yesterday after we left the pool to get something to eat, he was complaining about how I had a nickname for him but he didn't have one for me. I suggested Sel, or Selly- you know the usual nicknames for my name. But he refused and claimed that he had to be original.

Hence the name Lena, he pronounced it leena, cuz that's how it was pronounced in my name- you know Selena.

"Come on sleep with me tonight," he said dragging me to his bed. I wasn't gonna complain it felt pretty comfortable sleeping with him last time, we fit together so perfectly, but i wasn't going to make myself look desperate.

"No it's fine my bed is just right there," I said while attempting to walk to it but I was pushed onto a bed while Dan hovered over me.

"Too late," he whispered to me his blue eyes twinkling with mischief. I laughed at his forward gesture and pushed him of me. He then quickly wrapped his arms around me and pulled me closer. I snuggled on to his bare chest feeling warm instantly.

"Night Lena," he whispered on my hair and the kissed the top of my head.

"Night Dan," I mumbled on his chests

Oh god...I hope I don't drool.

Well there you go, sorry it's not long I just started writing cuz people have been begging.

I haven't decided if this is a filler or an actual chapter. Lets call it a falper.
