*Alec*

"Alright, so say it," she said rather demanding, "Why is that one my best friends tackled you?"

I stood there trying to think of something to say, what would be the point of lying? She would eventually find out the truth from Cassie.

I just knew she wouldn't understand, she wouldn't understand why I'm doing this. Why I'm here in the USA instead of being in my home county, England. She wouldn't understand why I can't break up with Elizabeth.

"Come on, I'm waiting," she said shifting her weight from one foot to the other and crossing her arms over her chest.

"You wouldn't understand," I mumbled as I looked down not being able to meet her eyes. I didn't want to see the horrible disappointed that her eyes would be showing me if I looked up.

"What the hell does that mean?!" she threw her hands up in frustration.

I sighed and looked up at her, "Exactly what I said, you wouldn't understand."

She tilted her head to the side and her eyes showed something that I despised, sympathy, I didn't want her to feel bad for me. I wanted her to understand.

"Try me."

I looked at her for a moment, and then spoke up, "I have a girlfriend Kristen."

That was it. It was too late to regret my words, it was too late to tell her it was a prank, and it was too late for me to cover this up with some lie. The truth was out, and I couldn't help to feel like there had been weights lifted off my chest. Her breath hitched and she let out a shaky sigh.

She looked at me her eyes no longer filled with sympathy or disappointment. But worse, they were filled with sadness and confusion.

The worse combination, I watched her as her gorgeous eyed began to water and her lip began to shake as if she was trying to speak but nothing would come out.

"I-I..I'm sorry, I didn't know," she said a single tear falling down her check.

"Kristen...please listen to me," I said stepping towards her.

She shook her head and stepped back, "I was stupid to believe that you actually might've liked me."

I was the one that shook my head this time. As the words escaped my mouth it gave me some kind of hope. Maybe she did like me after. Maybe Cassie had been right, but if she had been right about this then she was also right about making a first move quick.

"I do Kristen, I do like you," I said my voice coming out a little desperate.

She sniffled and more tears fell down her check, "Then why are you with another girl!" She screamed.

I cringed at the sound of her loud voice, it made me feel as if someone scratching a black board.

"You played me Alec," she continued after I gave no response.

I closed my eyes and let a shaky breath escape my lips. I couldn't bear this any longer.

I couldn't bear to see her tears. But I knew I had to, she was right. About everything.

"You might've not made one single move," she breathed out and furiously wiped her tears, "But you played me."

"Kristen-please..just let me explain," I said trying to fix this, I had to. I had a lot of explaining to do, not only to her, but to Cassie, Selena, and the boys.

"Explain what!" she screamed in obvious frustration, "Explain how you're a fucking coward who won't make up his mind?!"

I opened my mouth to speak, but nothing came out. It was as if my brain was warning that one more bad move, and everything. But in the back of my mind, I also knew that I had already lost everything.
