I may or may not have just used a song as the title of my story.
Enjoy!

He sat, laying in his bed. Thoughtfulness. A word with meaning, a word that makes you think; Why did I do that? Why did I hurt his feelings?  Exactly. He, of all people, hurt phis feelings. And he didn't know why. He shut his eyes tight, trying to keep the tears at bay. But he couldn't. Because he hurt his feelings. And he didn't know why...

One hour ago...
"SONIC! WHY WERE YOU BEING SUCH AN IDIOT!?"
"BE QUIET TAILS, ALL I DID WAS GRAB-"
"DON'T START WITH THE EXCUSES!"
"AT LEAST I'M NOT THE ONE WHO STARTED THIS!"
"CHAOS, SONIC. I HATE YOU!"
"..."
End of flashback

He sobbed more, shoving his face further into the pillow. Sonic had ran off an hour ago. And it was his fault Sonic felt this way. It was his fault that Sonic probably never wanted to see his deformed face again, and he wouldn't blame him. Because it was his fault. He was such an idiot. He heard small raindrops pitter patter on the windows. And if Sonic was outside, there was no doubt he was freezing his quills off. He turned around, and sighed. Until he heard the chime of a ringing phone. He grabbed the Miles Electric, and saw it was Amy.

Something made him not want to answer the phone. He wasn't sure if Sonic had told Amy about the "incident". And.. Amy rarely called him, anyways. He clicked the green button, and hoped for the best.

"Hello?"
"H-hi Amy."
"Tails... I heard about what happened."
Knew it
"O-oh.."
He was such an idiot
"I'm sure you didn't mean it."
What!?
"N-no Amy, I hurt his feelings. You - you shouldn't be taking it so lightly."
"Tails, I know you didn't mean it."
"I-I."
He had no comeback.
"Sonic wanted to tell you he'd be coming home soon."
"Why didn't he call me then?"
"He was afraid you'd fight again."
Fair point.
"Al-Alright."
The call ended.
And he hated himself forever more.
Because he was more than a mutant.
More than a weirdo.
He was a freakish mutant two-tailed idiot.
An he hoped Sonic thought the same.
