Chapter Six

He wasn't blind. There was no way, Tails the Fox, his little brother, was blind. The word felt as if it were a curse, something Sonic was forbidden from saying, but had to. And didn't want to. And just didn't want to be a reality at all!

He looked back at his brother. His old cerulean blue eyes, now a dim almost gray. And he didn't know why he.. he had done something like that. It wasn't fair, in all honesty. He just wanted the nightmare to end. Please, please, please be a nightmare.

Sadly, it was not.

And silent tears washed down the cobalt hedgehog's eyes.

The moment I had felt a drip of water, I knew who it came from. "S-Sonic? Are you okay?"—

"AM I OKAY!?" Whoof- that was harsh. "I SHOULD ASK THE SAME OF YOU!" If I could look at him right now, it wouldn't be a pretty sight from what I'm understanding. It had been an hour since my whole crazy panic thing, I was sort of over it now. I was blind, and there was nothing we could do about it. I just wish I could say the same for Sonic. "Seriously, I'm fine. I'm more worried about you."—

"Tails, please shut up. I'm fine." Woahhh... language. "You are obviously not! Last I checked, you're crying!"—

"Tails.."—

"Sonic."

Sniffles finally started up.

As I hugged whom I called brother.

"ANSWER THE DAMN PHONE!" The Echidna yelled. He had gotten a bit... how should he say this... concerned, when the duo didn't show up to Angel Island like they had claimed they would. He had been calling them multiple times, but there was never an answer. He didn't know if something happened to them, not like he should care, but still. He called one last time, this t8me getting an answer. "Hello?"—

"Where is CHAOS are you?"

"Ya see Knux...l sort of got backtracked.. — Is that Knuckles? — Yeah, remember we had agreed to head up to 'ol Angel? — Oh, right."

"So why aren't you up here, then?"

"Me and Tails got into a little fight... and let's just say many rude things were said. Of whom Tails said, BY ACCIDENT. Anyways, Tails sorta... committed suicide? Is that how I say it? I dunno, anywho, Tails got blind and now we're stuck in a hospital.."

"And you say it like it's nothing!?" Knuckles barked through the phone.

"Yee up."

"Oh Chaos..."
