Lumine had gotten word from Thoma about your unfortunate encounter with the Shogunate. As Ayaka, Thoma, Paimon and herself were waiting in the Tea Shop, Lumine knew that there was no time to lose.
Your vision was going to be the hundredth one seized since the installation of the Vision Hunt Decree in Inazuma. And the ceremony was going to begin soon.
Behind Lumine, Thoma was clenching his fists in anger, his jaw muscles tense.
"I'm sorry, Lumine." He declared. "I should have been the one to be caught... It was a mistake to drag Y/n into this."
Lumine's eyes glowed as she stared at the door, determined.
"Ayaka. Thoma... Please stay here." She ordered, as Paimon floated around her with a panicked expression painted on her face. "I will settle this."
"But Lumine...." Paimon began. "Isn't that too risky... ? The Raiden Shogun will be there. And so will the guards."
"I won't leave a loved one in the hands of the Raiden Shogun any longer, Paimon." Lumine assured, her eyebrows frowning. "I'm leaving now."
With that said, the blonde-haired traveler left the Tea Shop as quickly as she could.
"Hang in there, Y/n..." Lumine thought, running past the shops and onto a wooden bridge that led to the towering statue you both had seen earlier. "I'll get you out of this... !!"
She hurried over to the pit near the statue, and stopped behind a few local people who watched in shock.
You knelt there, your arms tied up and held by two guards, as your head was raised, eyes locked with the Raiden Shogun's divine gaze herself.
The deity, who stood meters away from you near the statue where all the other seized visions were encrusted, extended her hand towards you.
At first, you did not seem to understand, as you awaited to be electrocuted by her powers right there.
Your first thought was Lumine.
Would you ever see her again?
Would you ever get to tell her how you felt?
How all this journey with her that began from Mondstadt had made you care more and more for her over the days and weeks that had passed?
How you loved her.
Yes.
Love.
That felt right to say.
You were in love with Lumine.
You felt something tingle in your right arm, which drifted you back to reality.
You realised what was actually happening and caught a glimpse of your vision flying of the strap on your arm and towards the Raiden Shogun's hand.
"That's it." You thought. "I'll become like the other vision-less people. I'll lose a part of myself. I'll lose some memories. And probably go insane like the Dojo Master."
When suddenly, Lumine instant-transmitted from nowhere and grabbed your vision in midair, landing, her feet steady on the ground, with her arm extended in front of her for support.
Then, as she was standing up slowly, it hit you.
Lumine had come for you.
To save you.
And that is what she did.
In a dash, Lumine knocked over the two guards who held you, and she appeared near you, as you bent over so she could undo the ropes around your wrists.
However, the deity had no intention of letting her do so, and a bolt of lightning flashed in your direction.
"Lumine... !!" You exclaimed, as the blonde-haired traveler turned her back to you and faced the Shogun.
The Raiden Shogun looked at Lumine for a moment, as to evaluate the situation, before saying; "You managed to master elemental powers without a vision.... you seem to be an exception."
Lumine looked back at the deity, a serious look painted on her face.
"Exceptions..." The Shogun went on, creating electro platform to walk down towards Lumine and yourself. "The enemies of Eternity..."
Lumine, near you, drew out her sword in a swift motion, her jaw muscles clenched.
The Raiden Shogun set her foot on the solid ground and bent backwards, purple flashes of light illuminating everything around her.
She drew out her sword, which materialised itself from in her chest, and looked back at Lumine.
Everything disappeared to your sight, and you felt empty inside.
Where was the Raiden Shogun gone? And Lumine? Had the deity trapped her in some kind of illusion?
Thoma arrived at the statue and saw you.
He jumped into the small pit and hurriedly undid the ropes that held your wrists bound.
"Lumine's gone, Thoma-" You said in a hurry, your breath ragged. "I don't know where she is, it's been quite a long time now....."
A few minutes later, Lumine fell to the ground, and you noticed that she wasn't moving.
Immediately, you feared the worst.
You dashed forwards, instantly. You didn't care if you were opposing a deity or if you headed right into the Shogun's sights.
You needed to see Lumine.
You patted everywhere on her body frantically, your breath shaky.
"No, no, no.... please-" You whimpered, a lump starting to form in your throat, the tears pooling in your eyes. "Not like this Lumine, please, I love you... !!"
The blonde traveler gave no response and so, you leaned over her protectively, as the Raiden Shogun raised her blade above you.
This was the end.
And you'd join Lumine.
It was all you ever wanted.
