In which she saves you from the Raiden Shogun when she tries to get ahold of your vision PART II

You bent protectively over Lumine, as the Raiden Shogun held her blade, towering over you, lights flashing behind her.

A few meters away from you, Thoma hurled a Shogun guard's spear towards Raiden to prevent her from finishing you off, and the deity deflected the weapon at ease, Lumine and yourself being flung near Thoma by the Archon's energy wave.

Thoma caught you by the shoulder, as you grabbed onto Lumine firmly.

"Evacuate, now... !!" Thoma hollered as he took both Lumine and yourself by the side of your torso before running away, and back to the Tea Shop Ayaka was waiting for you in.

A few hours passed, and Lumine regained consciousness.

You had been worried sick, and were wondering if there would be any permanent trace of the wounds on her.

And Lumine was back up on her feet again.

"Y/n?" She asked, as Thoma and Ayaka showed signs of relief behind you. "Come meet me upstairs once our departure is settled, please... ?"

You said nothing and gave a slight nod.

Once everything was settled, you headed upstairs, and soon arrived in the hallway.

"Lumine?" You demanded, wondering where she was.

"Here." The blonde-haired traveler replied.

"What did you want me up for, Lumine?" You asked, making you way into the empty room.

"Listen...." Lumine began, breathing in deeply. "I.... I uh- heard you."

"I'm doomed-" You thought to yourself, pulling a poker face to hide your fear.

"When we met the Raiden Shogun." She went on, sighing. "You said..... you said- I love you..."

"Because.... because it's true-" You mumbled nervously. "I do love you."

Her facial expression tensed, as she whispered; "I'm sorry."

"Lumine....." You attempted. "I need to know..."

That was it. You were done hiding yourself and your feelings any longer. You were going to confess.

"-If you love me...." You finished, looking back at her. "Please."

"I'm sorry, Y/n....." She said gritting her teeth. "I didn't know I was so important to you...."

"So it's a no, then?" You replied bitterly, facing the ground, swallowing back your tears.

"When I was fighting the Raiden Shogun, I thought about you.... I didn't know how important you were to me-"

"Lumine, please don't leave me hanging...." You pleaded, your voice nearing its breaking point. "Please... It's hurting me..."

"And that's where i realised....." She mumbled, her voice cracking, as tears began to pool in her eyes. "I didn't want to lose you, Y/n."

"Lumine......" You said, taking in a deep breath.

"Because I love you."

That's when it hit you.

"You.... do?" You replied, raising your head to make contact with her.

Lumine pulled you closer to her;

"Three seconds to say no, Y/n."

And with that said, a few seconds later, she captured your lips in a long awaited-kiss.

Your two worlds, set ablaze, collided instantly in a rush of passion. Your two worlds were merging together as both of you closed the distance between each other, and Lumine held you close to her, her lips connected with yours.

"This is my answer, Y/n."
