INNOCENCE

When the world is filled with cotton candy hearts and bubblegum drops,
And fairy tales of endless love and happiness never stopped.

Blue skies with objects as clouds,
A colorful world of laughter no doubt.

Trickling streams of something new to learn,
Moments that turned to nostalgia earned.

Core memories created daily,
A simple fall and scrape mended immediately.

Tears of sadness over simple things,
Things that was forgotten in a blink.

A world that was only in the current moment,
A life lived in imaginations and travels to worlds urgent.

Winds under kites to freedom,
Simple games with nature cured that boredom.

A child's innocence of what life meant,
Those few years before troubles imminent.

In these times souls lament,
As reality hits and childhood innocence silently went.
