Once the whole fiasco in Mustafu was over, Lily gave Brandon an earful about keeping his phone on him at all times. That weekend, they explored Mustafu so they could become used to it more.

As for Brandon's schooling, he is currently doing online schooling since he doesn't feel confident enough in his Japanese to take part in their schools yet. Once both his parents and Brandon feel assured that he can speak well enough, then they'll admit him to a regular high school.

Until then, Brandon would do his school work either at home or in a location that his parents know about. Brandon and Denki had been texting back and forth along with a few of Brandon's American friends. But distance can do a lot to a bond, some of them rarely respond or vice-versa; Brandon would see the message and swipe, believing he'd look at it later but never would.

After school for students in Mustafu, sometimes Denki would show Brandon around the city. The two would use their phones to communicate properly but they would still try to get the other to understand them.

Even when they made mistakes, they had a laugh or teased the other over messing up yet still encouraged the other to keep trying. Learning with Denki is probably the best way of learning anything for Brandon.

Brandon's Japanese teacher found his and Denki's relationship to be beneficial in Brandon's learning process. His parents found it great too since Brandon hated learning just about anything with his parents. Brandon may love them, but when it comes to either of them teaching him, it is living hell.

During one of Denki and Brandon's outings, Denki explained a bit more about his school. For starters, it is the number one Hero school in Japan. Plus, the world's number one Hero, All Might, is a teacher there. When Brandon heard that, his jaw went slack and Denki gladly flaunted his luck.

Then Denki talked about some of his classmates, specifically: Eijirou Kirishima, Katsuki Bakugo, Mina Ashido, and Hanta Sero. The five seem to be pretty good friends despite the kid called Katsuki mostly having an angry and "explosive" character.

At some point, they got onto the topic of quirks. A small bit of moving electricity came up from Denki's hand and he showed it to Brandon, "This is my quirk: Denka."

"What is 'Denka'?" Brandon asked. That phrase is something he learned quickly and commonly uses when he doesn't know a word or phrase.

Pulling up their translator, Denki showed it: Denka = Electrification.

"Electrification? Wow, my quirk is... It's easier to show you," Brandon grinned mischievously.

Squinting at his peculiar friend, Denki knew something strange was going to happen but he didn't know what. Was he going to trick him? Tease him? Joke?

Before Denki's mind could think up the possible answer, Brandon grabbed Denki's hand and immediately the world around them turned into various colors of light blue, purple, and red. However, Denki couldn't get the proper footing in this version of the world and kept stepping on air.

"Woah!" Denki shouted as he felt like he was about to fall. He shut his eyes as tight as he could, praying that nothing would happen.

But when nothing did and the sound of Brandon's chuckling was heard along with the firm grip on Denki's hand, Denki peeked to see that they weren't falling but they were floating. Their feet could be on the ground and not make contact, people were passing through them like ghosts, and anything Denki said made one or two people turn to look for the voice but would find nothing.

"This is cool! Korehanandesuka?" Denki asked excitedly, electrical waves of excitement going through him every second.

"Kore- what?" Brandon laughed, not being able to fully understand the word.

Denki was about to let go of Brandon's hand but the sandy-haired boy kept a tight grip on it once he felt Denki trying to let go. Denki sent him a confused look but Brandon ignored it. Instead, Brandon made sure that their feet were an inch above the ground and waited until no one was in their places before the world turned back.

The blues, reds, and purples all morphed back into the regular colors around. Denki stumbled and nearly fell to the ground, but Brandon had caught the other with their conjoined hand and lifted him up.

When Denki was steady, he beamed at Brandon and let go of his hand. This time, Brandon allowed it, watching the blonde boy curiously. Pulling out his phone, Denki typed in something similar to what he had said earlier: What was that? (Nani datte)

"That's not what you said," Brandon scoffed, shaking his head with a smile. However, he disregarded his inner question and grabbed the phone.

Brandon: My quirk is dimensional travel. I didn't let go of your hand because anything I don't hold will enter the real world again and your leg was in the concrete. Meaning, either your leg would be stuck or cut off since matter already took space there. I had a dog once and let go of it at the wrong time. In simple terms, it was not pretty.

"Damn," Denki said as soon as he finished reading the message. That word, Brandon definitely knew. He and Denki went over as many curse words in each other's languages a few days after they met.

Denki: I can not say much. As a kid, I would accidentally electrocute a few people. My father got the brunt of it.

Brandon: I swear, I doubt that anyone anywhere doesn't have a bad story about quirks.

Denki: Sermon

"Sekkyō?" Brandon stared at the Japanese and English translations before looking back at Denki, "What do you mean?"

"Sekkyō, eto... This," Denki put his hands together in a prayer position before using one to represent speaking vigorously.

Brandon thought about the word for a minute. "Sermon"? No one uses "sermon" for anything so what's similar to it? What happens during a sermon-

"Preach!" Brandon yelled, then started laughing at himself.

...
