Lunch

"god wonie i'm so nervous, i think i'm gonna throw up" sunjin had been ranting to jungwon for the whole class period now. it was all about sunwoo and how he was going to hangout with them for lunch. making jungwon roll his eyes but sunjin was too in her own world to notice.

"why though? he's just a boy, unless of course- you like him~" there he goes again, teasing her to hide his true emotions. sunjin would always blush though but quickly regain herself before playfully fighting with him.

"i don't know, like it's so hard to describe what i even feel with him. i don't like him but i also don't dislike the idea of us dating? what the actual heck am i saying at this point" sunjin had sighed at her own answer. she put her head in her arms tired of this already.

jungwon laughed at his best friends situation. he thought she was thinking too hard on something so small really. to comfort her though as a wonderful friend he is, he laid his head on her arm too. not even seconds later, a hand began playing with his hair.

"help me wonie please" sunjin muffled words were hard to hear but jungwon was close enough to hear.

"i don't know what you want me to do sunsun, become a preist and hold a wedding for you both?" jungwon laughed at his words but laughed harder when sunjin smacked him. he lifted his head up to her bright red face. she calmed herself down unlike jungwon who still wasn't done laughing.

sunjin smacked the boy again. "how did you do it before? you know with your ex?" the girl questioned.

jungwon only had one girlfriend in 9th grade. lasted about two months and it was a pretty good relationship. they both took it kind of serious. jungwon liked the girl, found her pretty but it was never serious about his feelings towards sunjin. she will always be his number one girl. sunjin didn't know why they broke up. she found them super cute together, in fact all the pictures were almost taken by her.

sunjin wanted to be close to jungwon's ex but never got to it. the girl always seemed to be busy with jungwon or something else. sunjin was kinda bummed but she past it along. jungwon on the other hand, broke up with her because his girlfriend at the time was jealous of sunjin. she didn't hide it either, almost everyone around could see it. so when jungwon found out his ex was talking bad about sunjin, he broke it off immediately and ghosted her.

jungwon was a bit confused on why sunjin brought up his ex. he disliked her a lot.

"what do you mean" jungwon in a confused voice asked.

"how did you ask her out? or how did you know you liked her?" sunjin asked the boy. jungwon thought about her words a bit.

he asked her out because a rumor went to him that this girl had liked him for a while and why did he like her? to get rid of his feelings for sunjin but it didn't help at all. he didn't know how he even liked her, the girl went up to him one day and said she liked him. jungwon took the chance and said he liked her back. he did catch feelings but it went away super quick, nothing to serious to leave him heartbroken.

"mm i don't know, she came up to me and said she liked me. i just asked her out there basically. andddd.. i don't think i liked her until a month into our relationship" jungwon admitted to sunjin.

this was new information to sunjin. she thought jungwon was deeply in love with the girl but he barely caught feelings a month into the relationship?

"wow wonie what a romantic gentleman you are" sunjin sarcastic said.

"of course baby always" jungwon playfully winked. sunjin just shoved him.

the bell rang catching everyone's attention. the sudden quiet chatter got louder by the minute. everyone was excited for lunch. yet sunjin, was nervous.

"god sunsun you look like you're gonna faint" jungwon said to the girl. his tone was playful but there was a hint of concern too.

"i'm okay- yeah i'm totally okay don't worry wonie" sunjin replied before getting up. she was shaking a bit but she grabbed her backpack and headed out the class with jungwon. the two got to the door before stopping.

with all the crowed people walking, you can still spot sunwoo in the crowd making his way towards them.

their eyes met. sunjin's heart beating a bit faster. licking her lips out of nervous, she exhaled a bit. as sunwoo neared, her heart got gradually faster. she was positive everyone could hear it.

now standing in front of her, sunwoo stood taller than her. she had to look up a bit. he smiled at her, making the girl turn a bit red.

"hi" sunwoo said with a small smile.

"hi" sunjin breathed out. she was sure she was holding her breath before.

unknown to them, jungwon stood watching. he witnessed the way sunjin's eyes soften a bit when looking at sunwoo. the way her smile changed, one he has never witnessed before. it was almost the same with sunwoo and he hated that. jungwon hated every moment. how he noticed the girl he's liked for so long like someone that wasn't him. wait.

jungwon snapped out of his thoughts. since when did he like her? he was positive his feelings went away. but right now, that didn't matter because he wanted to get out of this cheesy moment his best friend was going through. and that is exactly what he did.

jungwon snuck away from the two, not like they'll notice. too engrossed in their own world.

jungwon walked to the cafeteria. looking for his friends, he realized they were probably outside. so he went outside, finding them at their usual spot.

"hey jungwon, where's sun?" sunoo asked. usually the two were always together including walking to lunch. so it was new to everyone when he was alone.

jungwon did not have the energy to talk. he simply shrugged before sitting beside jake who ruffled his hair a bit.
