Lunch
"how was class?" sunwoo asked.
the two were walking beside each other closely, their shoulders would occasionally bump into each other.
"it was good, we didn't too anything" sunjin shrugged. "how was yours?" she questioned back.
"mm it was okay, would've been better if you were with me though" sunwoo turned to smile at her.
sunjin was lucky she managed to not blush. she didn't know how she did but it worked out.
"too bad i wasn't huh?" sunjin flirted back to the boy. though this time sunwoo was the one blushing.
"ayy falling for me already sunwoo~" sunjin playfully bumped the boy shoulder. it got a bit quiet before they both started laughing.
their trip to the cafeteria came to an end when they stood in front of it.
"do you have lunch or are you getting something?" sunwoo questioned the girl beside him.
"uh i think i might get something from the vending machine instead" sunjin said. "i'm not that hungry, are you? i can wait for you here"
"no no it's fine, my mom made me lunch. we can walk together to the vending machine" the girl nodded to his answer before walking again.
sunjin quickly scanned through the items they had. finding chocolate milk, she took her money out before pushing the button. her drink came out. she bend down and grabbed it.
"come on, pretty sure my friends are outside" the boy followed the girl.
the weather was nice surprisingly. they were almost out of winter but today it was a bit cold but not too cold. it was a breath of fresh air for the girl. she took in her surroundings before spotting her friends. they were seated by a big tree that had a lot of shade. that was their spot since freshman year.
the two walked up to the group who seemed to be in a debate about something. it was stopped when the group noticed sunjin with someone they did not know. only jungwon and misu knew but misu at the moment was with her girlfriend.
"hi guys" sunjin smiled at the boys.
it was like the sun was staring at them. the boys were blinded by how bright she was. it was pretty obvious the boys all had a soft spot for sunjin. you could say they were like her other brothers (jungwon not included) always taking care of her. simultaneously they all smiled at her.
"hi sunnie" bambi eyes said softly smiled at the girl. everyone followed saying their hi's.
their attention was brought to the boy next to sunjin. it was like a snap, the boys facials changed into a blank stare. all thinking the same, who is this boy and why is he standing so close?
jungwon who was aware of everything did not care, and continued eating peacefully.
"guys- this is sunwoo, he's new to the school. so be nice" sunjin said in a tight smile, giving them all a warning basically.
"how old are you?" a boy said. his eyes were scanning the boy up and down, almost in a judging way. it gave sunwoo chills on how cold his stare was.
"um- 17" sunwoo replied. luckily he didn't stutter but he was about too.
"what is your business exactly with sunnie?" another boy said but his stare was enough for sunwoo to have him stuttering.
"i- i just wanted to become friends with her" sunwoo was sweating.
"are you sure" bambi eyes spoke while narrowing his eyes at the boy. again all of them simultaneously narrowed their eyes. silence took over for a bit, making it hard for sunwoo to breath.
"HEY, stop right now" sunjin cut through the silence that went on for a while. "god you swear you look intimidating" sunjin rolled her eyes.
it was like a snap again, they all stop narrowing their eyes to a soft laugh.
"sorry man we just had to make sure you had no funny business with sun here" a boy said. "i'm jay by the way" jay said to sunwoo.
"i'm heeseung" theboy with bambi eyes said.
"i'm sunghoon" this dude actually hadn't stop glaring at him.
"i'm sunoo" it was the boy who was glaring at him earlier making him stutter. seeing him smile as bright as sunjin now took him by surprise.
"riki but i go by niki" a deep voice said. it almost scared sunwoo.
"i'm jake, do you play soccer?" a boy with a bright grin asked sunwoo.
"yeah i do actually" sunwoo said to jake who immediately cheered.
they welcomed sunwoo to their table, talking already. but one boy didn't. in fact he didn't even glance at him. he was either talking with one of the other boys or listening to sunjin talk.
it was the same boy who glared at him during a class period. the boy was still unnamed to him. he didn't seem to pay any attention to the boy when he introduced himself up until now.
"that's jungwon." a voice said next to him. sunwoo turned his head to see jay. "he doesn't talk much to new people, only his close friends so don't feel offended if the boy doesn't even glance at you"
sunwoo simply nodded his head. he don't know what to say but keep quiet and occasionally answering jake's questions. he felt happy for once. it seemed like he finally made friends.
