a ringtone echoed across the walls in the dark room. a groan escaped sunjin's mouth, stretching her hand to look for her phone.

she finally found it under all her covers before pressing accept.

"hello?" sunjin said before yawning.

"WHAT THE ACTUAL HECK KIM SUNJIN!" a loud voice screamed in her ear causing her to pull away.

"why are you screaming?" sunjin questioned her friend.

"why wouldn't i be?! i miss a couple of days of school and your ass is dating the new kid? i know i haven't been hanging out with you because i'm usually with jisoo- which i'm sorry by the way, and then i get sick so i didn't see you in class either but that's still-" misu ranted.

"what's the point here?" sunjin quickly cut her off knowing she could rant for hours.

"the point is my dear fellow mate is you are freaking dating the new kid?" misu exclaimed. though sunjin couldn't see her, she threw her hands in the air.

"..yeah i am?" sunjin rubbed her eyes. "i don't get the deal though?"

"sunjin.. omg you are so stupid! first off- why wasn't i the first to know? that should have been your first propriety! second- for how long? because those pictures on insta seem like different days" misu question.

sunjin sighed, almost falling to sleep again. "we barely started dating on friday so two days now, and all those pictures were from the other time we hung out"

"oh"

"yeah oh"

misu loudly sighed before throwing herself on the bed. "i miss you sun, we haven't seen each other in a while"

"we saw each other monday?"

"mm true" misu hummed. "but still! i got sick remember!"

"yeah you did- which how do you feel now?" sunjin asked her sick friend who sounded fine now.

"much better! my mother's soup was delicious!" misu couldn't help but think and get hungry. "hey sun"

"yeah mi" sunjin yawned again. she didn't even know the time. she knew it was sunday. so she looked at her phone seeing it was 9 am. sunjin let a loud sigh.

"what happened with you and jungwon?"

sunjin furrowed her eyesbrows. "what do you mean?"

"i mean- you know, the little crush you had on each other, you officially over him?"

"yeah- that's why i'm dating sunwoo? if i wasn't, i wouldn't date him." that was a lie and sunjin knew it but she would never admit it.

"mm sure okay.. how do the boys feel? about you dating sunwoo?"

misu and the boys waited for the day sunjin got her first boyfriend. all of them thought it would be jungwon. those two are basically soulmates.

"uh i don't know, i haven't been with them for like two weeks now?" sunjin said while scrolling through instagram, making sure to like txt's new post.

".. what?" misu's voice scared sunjin. it was quiet for a couple of seconds.

"you haven't talked to them in two weeks?! no way you're ghosting your friends for a boy sunjin, i mean- i know it's your first relationship, totally understandable to wanting to be with them all the time but.. at least talk to the boys still, they're like your brothers! imagine how jungwon feels? he would literally talk to you all the time when he was dating his ex" misu said almost in one breath.

sunjin heard her breathing over the phone. she was going to answer but what? she didn't even know what to say. she was confused.

"hey sun.. i have to go, hanging out with jisoo right now" misu said. "but please think about what i said and talk to your friends again."

the line went dead.

sunjin sat in her bed, staring at the wall. she was in deep thought because what misu said was all true.

a text shook her back to her senses. sunjin grabbed her phone before sliding down to see who texted her.
