"Jemima, can you take that table?" my co-worker asked.
"Yeah okay." I responded.
I walked up to the table that had four men that looked like they were in their mid-twentys. "Hi. My name is Jemima and I will be your server today." I told them. "You guys look like you are from out of town."
"Do we have like a sign above our heads or something?" the one with blue hair asked.
"Calm down Josh." the one next to him with the flufy brown hair.
"Can I start you out with some drinks?" I asked taking out my note pad.
"Can we just all have some water?" said the one on the far end of the table with curly hair.
I nodded and wrote it down. I turned back into the kitchen to get some water. I came back and set the water down on the table.
"Are you guys ready to order?" I asked.
"We are almost ready. Mike just needs to order." said the curly one.
I stood there waiting for him to finish.
"So where are you from?" I asked.
"We are from Vancouver." said the one with blue hair or Josh.
"Cool! My best friend and I are moving there next week." I told them. I don't think they really cared.
"We are ready now." said the one with the mohawk.
"Okay. What do you guys want."
"Can we each have a serving of cod, fries, and some shrimp." said the one next to Josh.
I finished writing down the order and went to take some one else's order. A few minutes later I passed the table to go to the kitchen and I caught the curly one starring at me. He was kind of cute so, I smiled at him.
"Here are your meals." I told them setting the food down in the table.
The curly one smiled at me again. At the end of the meal I went to take the check and all of them, except for the curly one, left.
"I heard that you are moving to Vancouver next week. I f you haven't found an apartment, my building has some space. Both the buildings number and my number are on this paper." he told me handing me a napkin with two numbers on it. The napkin said Ian Casselman.
"Thanks Ian." I said but, he was already gone.
Ian Casselman? I swear I've heard that name before. I went to clock out since it was the end of my shift. I got back to my apartment to see my best friend ,Cassidy, putting her large collection of books into boxes.
"How was your last day of work?" she asked placing 'The Deathly Hallows' into a box.
"Good. There was a table that I served that are from Vancouver and they gave me a number of a building there." I told her.
"Cool. Can I see the number? We still haven't found an apartment yet." she asked. I handed her the paper.
"Do you know who Ian Casselman is?" I asked opening a ginger ale.
"Um, yes. He is the drummer in my favourite band. Hello." she told me.
I knew that I knew him from somewhere. Cassidy will never shut up about that band and who they are. I decided to help her with her large collection of books. I finished up and she told me to rest because tomorrow we were packing the t.v. and beds. It was hard for me to sleep because of the street noise so, I just started at the ceiling hoping that the new apartment next week is a lot better.
