I sat on the couch staring at my phone. Cassidy laughed at me.

"He will call. Stop worrying." she told me, laughing.

Ian had been on tour for almost two weeks and he promised that he would call when ever he was on the road.

"He doesn't have a concert tonight. He should call soon." I said.

She laughed at me and went back to her book. A few minutes later my phone rang. The bad part about that was that I was in the kitchen so I had to dive over the couch to get it.

"Hey." I said.

"Hey." Ian said. I could hear the rest of the band talking in the back ground.

"How's the tour?" I asked.

"Good. How's life back in Vancouver?" he asked.

"Good. Cassidy is still annoying." I told him as Cassidy was asking me about the couch diving olympics.

"Go away." Ian said.

"What?" I asked.

"No not you. Josh. He is being an idiot again." he told me.

We talked for awhile.

"Ian, where are you right now?" I asked.

"I have no idea." he laughed.

Someone started to knock on the door.

"I have to go. Someone is here. See you in a few days and don't let Josh be an idiot. Bye." I said.

"Bye."

I hung up. before going to get the door I said "Ian, I love you, wherever you are."

I opened the door and I was shocked.

"Caitlin?!?" I asked.

Caitlin was one of our old friends from high school. We hadn't seen her in years but, we try to keep in touch.

"Hi!!" she said hugging me.

"What are you doing here?" Cassidy asked.

"I knew that you moved to Vancouver so I called your parents to find out where you live. And remember when I told you that my dream was to do something with musical theatre?" she asked. We nodded. "Well, you are looking at the new Glinda Uplands from the upper uplands."

"No way! Why didn't you tell us?" Cassidy asked.

"Because the cast was coming on tour to Vancouver for two weeks and I wanted to surprise you." she said.

We invited her in to catch up.

"So are you two dating anyone?" Caitlin asked.

"Yeah. Actually we are both dating someone. I'm dating this guy named Matt and Jemima is dating a guy named Ian. They are both in a band together." Cassidy told her.

"Really? That's great oh and Jem, I am so sorry about your parents." Caitlin said.

"It's okay." I said.

"I have a present for you guys." Caitlin said.

"You didn't have to get us anything." I told her.

"These were given to me to give to someone." she told us. Caitlin took an envelope out of her purse and handed it to us. "There are four tickets to the last show of Wicked. I want you to have them."

"Caitlin, thank you. I don't know what to say." I said taking the envelope.

"You don't have to say anything. Just come to the show." she said.

"Okay. We will." Cassidy told her.

"Thank you. I have to go. I have rehearsal in the morning." Caitlin said.

We said goodbye and she left. We called Ian and Matt and told them about the show. A few minutes later Cassidy's parents called and she left the room to talk to them. She came back 5 minutes later.

"Jem, my parents want to know if you want to come to their house for Christmas." she told me.

"No, It's okay. I'll just stay here." I told her.

"Are you sure?" she asked.

"Yeah." I told her.

Her brother hates me so, I don't want to spend a week with him. I can just make a small dinner and hang out here. I put the tickets into the cupboard to keep them safe and went to bed.
