Chapter 5

I was very excited today I was going on a date with Ian. It was also my first day of work which went very well by the way. I just got back and started getting ready for my date.

"What are you looking for?" Cassidy asked.

"Holy crap, Cassidy! I thought you were out." I replied.

I couldn't find my pink cardigan and I thought that she had it.

"I was. But Matt had to pick up his sister because her car was stolen. What are you looking for?" she asked again.

"My pink cardigan." I told her.

"I haven't since my parents invited us over for dinner last month. You might've left it in the old apartment." she told me.

I sighed, stood up, and left her room.

"I'll help you find something else to wear." Cassidy offered.

"Okay." I replied.

We went to my room and started looking through my closet.

"Why don't you just wear these capri's, this shirt, and wear this jacket." she said to me.

"Yeah okay." I replied.

Cassidy left my room and I quickly changed. Cassidy had a great sense of style. I looked great. I just wish I could do something my hair.

"Jemima, you look great." Cassidy told me.

"Thanks. Do you think you could help me with this mess people call hair?" I asked.

She laughed and led me into the bathroom. Cassidy ended up tying my hair up into a high ponytail.

About 10 minutes after Cassidy fixed my hair someone was knocking at the door.

"Afternoon Ian." I heard Cassidy say.

I could hear Ian laughing.

"Hi Ian." I said.

"Hi. Ready to go?" Ian asked.

"Yeah. Bye Cassidy." I said leaving.

Ian drove down to a small beach.

"Want some ice-cream?" Ian asked.

"Chocolate mint please." I told him.

Ian ordered the ice-cream. He gave me my ice-cream and we went outside.

"So, do you want to tell me about your life?" Ian asked.

"What is there to tell? I'm an only child and my parents died in a car crash three months ago." I told him.

"What about pets?" he asked

"When I was a little girl I had a black pug named Bubba. He died when I was twelve." I told him.

"That's really cool." he told me.

"What about your life?'' I asked.

He told me about his life. How the band was started. That Josh called him after he put an ad in the paper. How was roommates with with Mike and he got him to audition which completed the band.

"That's a really good story." I told him.

"Thanks. Want to watch a movie?" Ian asked when we got home.

"Okay. What movies do you have?" I asked.

"I have the entire Austin Powers series, the first Men in Black movie, and the third Pirates of the Caribbean movie." Ian told me.

"I love the third Austin Powers movie." I told him.

We sat, laughed, and quoted the movie. When it was over Ian looked at me.

"You look beautiful. Sorry I didn't tell you earlier." he told me.

"Thank you. You look great yourself." I told him.

Ian looked into my eyes and kissed me. I kissed him back intensely. I slowly pulled away and smiled.

"I should probably go." I whispered.

"Okay. See you tomorrow." he whispered back.

I opened the door to see Cassidy and Matt together.

"Hi guys." I said.

Matt quickly scrambled to his feet.

"Bye Matt." I laughed as he left.

"How was your date?" Cassidy asked.

"Good. We got some ice-cream, took a walk on the beach, and watched a movie." I told her.

She gave me a knowing look and a rolled my eyes at her.

I went to bed and all I could think of was Ian and the fact that if I keep taking the bus to work every morning I was going to become poor.
