After finally drying off for the second time, thanks to Teddy's dumbass, we decide to head to bluepoint diner to get some coke floats.
"Hey, Mary!"
Oh god, not him.
"Oh, heyyyy, Jacob..." I really don't want to talk to him. Why does he keep trying? I mean seriously I've given him every sign that I'm not into him. Jacob Moren has been trying to sweet talk me into a date for the past year and half and every time I've told him I'm busy.
"You free this weekend? I was thinking we could go down to the record shop then swing by bluepoint and grab something to drink then we cou-"
"She's busy this weekend," Chris threw his arm over my shoulder, "she's helping me move some boxes out of my attic. Maybe next time, though."
Chris, I love you.
"Oh, well, is that true, Mary?" Well now I kinda feel bad... wait- no never mind.
"Yeah, it is. Sorry, Jacob."
Chris and I walked off with his arm still around my shoulder. Right as we were in Bluepoint and out of ear-shot of Jacob I began to speak,
"Holy shit! Thanks, Chris! I owe you big time!" I giggle out when we sit down at the bar, Gordie, Vern, and Teddy doing the same.
