"Oh you are so damn dead."

"Please.. I just need you to vouch for me. You picked me up and I was with you the whole time." Sevyn followed Jaiden down the hallway to their last class of the day.

"You lucky I love you. But girl...slow down for real you just got active don't be letting Mr.Man change my innocent baby." Jaiden frowned hugging her from the side making her laugh.

"I won't. I promise.." She smiled as they walked in the classroom.

After class ended, Jaiden took her home Sevyn took about ten minutes preparing herself before she walked into the house. She opened the door, the aroma of fried pork chops and collard greens hitting her in the face.

"Oh I was so worried!"

"Gigi!" Sevyn smiled big, finding her other grandmother, her mother's mother in the walkway to the kitchen. She ran over giving her a big hug.

"Baby why did you run off last night? Ya daddy was losing his whole head." She walked back in the kitchen with her. Sevyn sighed jumping up and sitting on the counter.

"I just..got upset. That's it and I went to stay the night with Jai." She said watching her cook.Gigi was far more lenient and laid back than her father's mother. She was the most laid back in Sevyn's family, her mother's whole side was that way.

After her mother Tina was killed in the cross fire of some gang violence when she was 5, Sevyn's families feuded with one another over her mother's death.

Her mother's family was wealthy, living on the same side of town as Jaiden's family, it was how the two met in the first place.

While Sevyn was spending thanksgiving with Tina's family, Her father brought Tina to the Southside to meet the rest of his family, but tragedy struck once some men got to shooting, the flying bullets hitting Tina twice.

Sevyn did not really understand why her Gigi and their family resented her dads side about Tina's death and they never told her why. Gigi really only came around to see Sevyn but she got along with her dad to some extent slowly over the years.

"How come?" She pulled her mac and cheese out the oven.

"I um...was with a friend...and we lost track of time. I fell asleep and missed church and daddy called my phone right?"

"Well he- um.. the friend answered..."

"Oh Lord." Gigi shook her head listening.

"Andddd...told daddy that he...we were having, well had...sex. But he wasn't in his right mind at the time he was high." Sevyn said her voice getting quieter.

"And he grounded me..took my phone." She sighed heavily.

"Well did you?" She handed her a spoon of Mac and cheese and Sevyn tried it.

"Did I what? That's goood." She smiled putting the spoon on the counter beside her.

"Do the deed with your friend.."
