"YALL KIDS NEED TO CLOSE MY DOOR!"

"SORRY GRANNY!" Kiana ran through the living room past all the older teens, who were eating their big piled plates of all the thanksgiving fixings. She laughed closing the door as her cousin her age ran past her jumping off the porch as they began to play.

"Dayvon go watch your sister she's outside in the front." His mama walked in the bedroom where a then 12 year old Dayvon with his cousin Dj, playing the game.

"But I'm—"

"Go, now please you can play later." She said before she turned around walking back up the hallway. He smacked his lips quietly before he stood up.

"We can just play basketball." His cousin said and stood up with him , walking down the hallway and through the living room. Once they made it outside they started playing basketball with the goal at the neighbors house.

"DAYVON I WANNA PLAY!" His six year old sister Kiana ran over to them trying to get the ball.

"Aight two on two. Me and Dj versus you and tete." He smirked and she frowned.

"THATS NOT FAIR!" She yelled looking up at him.

"Is."

"Not."

"It is."

"It's not!" She stomped her foot and he smacked his lips.

"Aight dang, me and you okay and you can't ball hog bruh." He said and she smiled big.

"Man tete suck she 4." Dj smacked his lips.

"She six..." Von dribbled the ball pointing at Kiana. Dj shrugged as Von threw him the ball.

"Run to the goal and imma throw it to you, you betta score too." Von got down to Kiana's level, making her feel like she was actually finna ball out as she smiled.

"You ready?" He asked her and she nodded quietly with a smile.

"Nahhh dat don't look like you ready.." he shook his head with a little grin and laugh.

"IM READY" she said loudly and he nodded giving her a little high five before he stood back up. He turned his head, noticing a red car driving by slowly, the road was pretty tight with cars along the side so he thought nothing of it.

"First to what?"

"Uhh...six." Von said turning his attention back to his sister and cousins.

Dj checked the ball and they started playing, Kiana doing exactly what her older brother told her too as she ran to the goal standing under it waving her hands in the air.

"Here! Von here!" Her squeaky voice loud as she jumped up and down. He dribbled closer to her before lightly bouncing the ball to her.

She threw it up, missing obviously but he was there to catch it and put in the goal. He still gave her the praise for the shot making her feel on top of the world.
