"1..2..3..4..5..7..10!" Lola smiled big, her baby teeth showing as she was proud of herself for "counting to ten".
"Almost fats, you so smart." Von chuckled kissing the side of her face. She was sitting in his lap on his couch. She had been with him all day and he loved every minute of it, happy he could spend time with her.
Sevyn had been letting him keep her a lot longer throughout the day in the past few weeks, but was still hesitant to let Lola stay overnight. She just refused to trust Kema and it was justified. She got into between her and Dayvon and was the one who persuaded him to leave Sevyn and Lola behind and move to Atlanta.
He was working day in and day out, he just liked to have all of his songs and videos recorded way ahead of the time before he even planned to release the song, so he was doing something every day of the week and still finding time to be with Lola.
He just wished he could reform a connection with Sevyn but as far as he knew she was truly over him. It really hurt Dayvon, he was up some nights thinking about it and finding himself so deeply ashamed with his past self. He wished he could go back in time and stay with her right there in the house that night he left and told her how much he truly loved and appreciated her, how he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her.
Von was really working to change himself, keeping himself occupied through his music so he wouldn't feel the urge to do something violent or just get mad cause he wanted too. Lola being around helped him a lot too because he would never do anything to frighten her or put her in danger.
He was really only keeping Kema around for her body, which he was ashamed to some extent but not really cause he still didn't give a fuck about her feelings.
"Where mommy?" Lola frowned closing her cat in the hat book that rested in her lap. She looked up at Von and he sighed a little. She was always..always late to get Lola in the past few weeks. He wondered why she wouldn't just let her stay with him.
"Lemme call her..never mind." He heard her car pulling up, the lights flashing through the big open windows of his living room. He stood up and helped Lola gather her toys and put them in the little Doc Mcstuffins backpack she had.
By the time he finished with that there was a knock on the door and he walked over opening it. He laid his eyes on Sevyn, immediately noticing something off about her.
"What?" She made a face, uncomfortable by the slight judgmental expression on his face.
"You good?" He asked, tilting his head a little as he kept his eyes glued into hers, her pupils a bit dilated.
"I'm fine..where's fats?" She mumbled and looked down at her phone checking the time. Lola ran over dragging her backpack behind her as she smiled, happy to see Sevyn after a long day.
