The Sully Family has been with the Metkayina people for one year now and it's been almost six months since the war ended.
Colonel Miles Quaritch is now dead so the Sully Family is now able to live in peace and not have to worry about someone hunting them.
Laelyn is a strong and fierce warrior just like her mother and she will do anything to protect her family no matter the cost.
Her first love was the Forest, being able to climb from tree to tree and witnessing all the wild animals run around freely. She loved nature and breathing in the crisp air.
At first, she wasn't too fond of the water because she was so used to the forest but now since she has been with the Metkayina and observed them and their culture, the reef has become her second love with the beautiful blue clear water & gorgeous aquatic animals.
Laelyn has been having feelings for Aonung since she first got to Awa'atlu. She decided to not act on her feelings, since a lot was going on with the war, and she didn't have time to focus on love when she had to help protect her family and her new home.
Now that the war is over she now has time to focus on things that the average teenager does like love.
Aonung is the future Olo'eyktan, he has many duties and people to serve in the village. He has a big weight on his shoulders to prepare for his future position in his clan, he has to be headstrong and not let anything detour him from his goals.
Aonung has never really been in touch with his feelings when it came to girls and he didn't understand them, every girl that came his way he always push them away.
Once Laelyn came along, he laid his eyes on her he feels like something was going to be different about her than all the other girls in his clan, but will he open his heart up for her to enter and fill it with love or will he keep walls around it?
