Before this chapter starts I want to give a shout-out to EmariTheProtecter for giving me the idea for this chapter💙!

Also, I want to clarify some things so it'll make sense when you read the chapter.

• This book is set almost a year after the war which means everyone knows about Payakan

• In this chapter Ronal's spirit sister (and calf) will still be alive

• When Laelyn talks to the Tulkuns they will already know of her because she saw all of them when they returned to Awa'atlu during the war (like in the movie)

• Also the chapter will be written as if this is the first time the Tulkun are being hunted

• Tulkun Pod means a group of Tulkuns

Omniscient POV:

It's been almost two weeks since Laelyn's incident at the spirit tree. She hasn't been having any visions in general or in her dreams.

She hasn't told anyone about this gift from Eywa, even Aonung. She was nervous to tell him about it because she didn't know how he was going to react.

Right now Laelyn and Aonung were sleeping together in an empty mauri. As the couple was lying together with their arms wrapped around each other they were having peaceful dreams about random things, until something changed in Laelyn's dream.

The once calm dream she was turned into something awful. Something that could uproot the Metkiyana's peaceful ecosystem.

Dream

It was a sunny day in Awa'atlu today. Everyone was doing their clan duties and their usual day-to-day activities.

The atmosphere felt different than it usually does instead of feeling peace and calmness it felt like evil was coming to them.

Across the ocean on the other side of the sea wall was a demon ship following a Tulkun pod who were swimming around in the open ocean.

The sky people shot Roa (Ronal's Spirit Sister) with harpoon torpedoes that inflated lift bags. After Roa was at the surface and vulnerable a big harpoon stabbed her in a fatal weak spot. Roa began to let out ear-piercing groans which conveyed the pain she was experiencing.

The sky people kept the harpoon inside Roa's body until she stopped moving and became still in the water. Her calf was circling her around her and felt a sense of loss. They knew that their mother was dead.

The calf began to let out sounds of pain and morning, the calf felt lost without its mother. Without its mother, the calf couldn't survive because they receive oxygen and nutrients through the mother's kuru.

The calf stayed by its mother's side until it took its last breath and died right beside her.

End of Dream

Laelyn was stirring in her sleep, she was breathing heavily, and beads of sweat were dripping down her face. She could feel the pain of the Tulkuns coursing through her body. She could feel each shot to their body, she could feel them taking their last breath, and the pain and sorrow from the Tulkun pod who had to watch the horrific scene.
