Omniscient POV:
Time of Day: Early Morning
The sun is starting to rise in the sky and shine on Awa'atlu. Laelyn and Aonung were still sleeping on the floor of the empty mauri cuddling together. While sleeping Laelyn wrapped her arm around Aonung's waist and nuzzled her head further onto his chest.
Her movement caused Aonung to wake up. He looked down and saw Laelyn sleeping on his chest which brought a smile to his face. He didn't want to wake her up because she looked so peaceful but he knew that they needed to get up and go back to their mauri's.
"Laelyn?" He began to whisper, but she didn't wake up so he repeated her name.
"Lyn?" He said in a louder tone
She heard him this time which caused her to stir, "Hmm?" She mumbled with sleepiness laced in her voice
"We need to go back home"
When he said she began to sit up and rub her eyes, "But I wanna stay here with you" she told him in a whining tone
"I wanna stay here with you too but we have to get back before our parents realize we're gone and send out a search party"
"Okay your right, let's go" Laelyn began to stand up and grabbed Aonung's hand to have him follow her.
Both of them walked out and began walking together toward her mauri.
10 minutes later
They made it to her mauri and Aonung didn't want to let go of Laelyn's hand, "You have to let go Aonung" she told him in a soft but playful tone
"I know I just don't want to leave you" Aonung said while looking into her emerald-green eyes
"Don't worry we'll see each other later" she smiled at him putting her free hand on his chest.
They talked for a few more minutes until Laelyn decided to go inside her mauri. She hugged him and pecked his cheek and then began walking inside her mauri

Laelyn POV:
I tiptoed throughout my pod trying to make as little noise as possible. I was able to successfully make it to my room without anyone noticing. I opened my door, walked in, and close it as quietly as possible.
When I was completely in my room I turned around and saw Kiri sitting on my bed, "Kiri what are you doing here?"
"I was waiting for you, why were you out all night?"
"Me and Aonung went to an empty mauri and fell asleep" I told her while a slight smile grew on my face
"Well it looks like y'all had a good time" Kiri pointed her finger at me and began to smirk
"How did you know?" I asked confused about what she meant
"You have a hickey" she said while laughing
