Okay, okay. The concert is here

You could've sworn that you felt his eyes on you multiple times throughout the concert, but the lights were too bright for you to see if the feeling was correct. Admiring the blinding lights with your eyes and the almost heavenly music with your ears was an out-of-body experience, but it did get quite lonely. You hoped that one of the other guys would find themselves a nice gal that you could hang around.

You had heard Alex's voice, yes, but hearing it through a microphone and ginormous speakers was certainly something else. The raspiness that you found in some parts of the songs (mostly from the first ever album) was enough to drive you insane, but the soothing calmness of it almost made you do a cartwheel onto the stage. You knew that you would always look back to this specific night multiple times in your life, wishing to relive the first concert, so you made sure to enjoy it as thoroughly as possible.

But all nice things must come to an end, and as the sun went further down the chants in the crowd died down slightly as a sudden tired feeling seeped from one body to another. But you knew that the people would recall every single second and breath of this amazing evening, even through their sleep-deprived state.

The deafening sound of claps filled your ears and you saw the group walk towards your end of the stage, so you chose to sit down in one of the chairs and wait for the remaining seconds left before they reached you.

As their bodies were out of eyesight from the crowd Alex, Jamie and Nick took off their instruments and sat down in random chairs while Matt chose to stand. Alex covered his eyes with his hand, taking a few seconds to adjust to the calmness in the air and the quiet noise that almost drove him mad. It was like the white noise was supposed to be renamed into "Mad sounds", after hours on a loud and lit up stage.

As you observed his movement he uncovered his eyes and reached for a bottle of water in the cooler, and oh my god even such a simple task made you swoon. You didn't know what it was, and you never would, but there was always such an aura around Alex. It was as if the air was mixed with water and everything moved slower, but still not slow enough. You wanted to stay in this night forever, alone with your thoughts that for once were only positive, while watching a concert from backstage.

-You're staring' You heard from the other side of you, and you rolled your eyes while looking in that direction to face Matt.

-It's hard not to' You said lowly while he chuckled and too, rolled his eyes as he took a sip of his drink.

-What are you two whispering about?' Said Jamie and you once again turned your head to look at him this time.

-Y/N's fat crush-' Matt said but you quickly hit his arm, in which he responded with a laugh and a rub to his skin.

-About when we are heading back to the hotel' You said as you smiled softly at Jamie, ignoring Matt's scoff from behind you.

You looked at Alex, moved your eyes to his, where you found him already quietly observing you while holding up his head with his hand. But as quick as the eye contact started it was gone again, when he looked down to the bottle in his hand.

You zoned out again, this time also looking at Alex. You just wanted to kiss him like you did on the plane, hidden from the world but also right in the middle of it. But this time you wanted it without cameras.

-Y/N are you listening?' Nick questioned as you sighed, standing up and looking at him while shrugging.

-Nope' You said as exaggerated as possible while he closed his eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose, suffocating a chuckle.

-Let's go back' Alex said with his deep voice, even raspier now because of his longing for sleep.

You nodded in agreement as the reality of your heavy eyelids started setting in, you obeyed their wishes and closed them. Just as you did that you felt something warm in your hand and recognized it as Alex's guitar fingers, you let him lead you wherever you were going as your eyes were still closed.

After a while of walking you opened them again and found the entrance to the hotel two yards in front of you, the guys walking before you as well.

-You could stay in my room, but only if you want to' Alex said from the right side of you, whereas you looked at him. He had leaned in to get closer to your ear, so the others wouldn't hear.

As the meaning of his sentence suddenly gave you a reaction you started blushing like never before, nodding slowly (a cause by the water-air aura Alex gave off).

He nodded, smirked, chuckled and turned forward again, but you noticed the way he looked at your lips for the split second.
