If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense

Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn’t...

It was a simple, easygoing day. The sun was shining, the squirrels were scurrying around, and the kids at school were laughing, so not paying attention. Two in particular, Alek and Steven, were laughing the hardest about a rude comment that they’d made to a classmate, who was currently sulking in the back. “That wasn’t very nice.” The classmate, a girl named Kat, said sulkily.

That’s what made it so funny!! Alek teased and went back to laughing. Finally the bell rang and Kat angrily stormed out of the classroom, the two giggling idiots following her annoyingly.

Finally Kat mumbled something that sounded to the boys like, I hope you disappear like Alyss. The boys rolled their eyes. Alyss was a girl that had disappeared a few months back, and no one had found her. It was like she vanished, disappeared as if she’d never been. The last time people had seen her was standing at the bus stop at school, talking with Kat. Then she had vanished. But the boys knew that she had just run away and no one had bothered to look for her. She had been a pest, anyway, so it wasn’t a big loss.

Kat hopped on her bike and pedaled away hurriedly, eager to get away from Alek and Steven. Bye, kitty-kat!! They chorused and erupted into another fit of laughter. People could literally mistake the two of them for brothers, they acted so much like each other. They both were annoying, they both were pretty mean, and they were the only boys at the school who didn’t have any other friends. They made their way to the bus stop at the end of the crossroads, poking fun at the people in the cars that zoomed past them. As they waited, someone tapped Steven on the shoulder.

He turned around to see a girl, their age, standing there, looking embarrassed. She had long black hair that was so straight it looked like it ended in points, and her nails were painted a deep shade of red. Her startling green eyes were lowered and there was a diamond encrusted watch glittering expensively on her wrist. She was pretty, and the two boys couldn’t help goggling at her. Um, sorry for bothering you... But is this the bus stop? She asked in a voice that sounded like bells.

Alek shook himself slightly to snap out of it and nodded. It is. Are you new here? He asked her kindly, noticing her fragile figure.

Steven nudged him angrily. She asked me.

They girl laughed. I am new here. I just got a little lost and ended up here. I’m glad I got here in time. She sighed in relief, but the two boys couldn’t help but noticed her laugh sounded like wind-chimes. Oh, your names. What are your names? Maybe I’ll see you around. She asked suddenly.

I’m Steven, and this is Alek. Steven said quickly, not missing another chance to talk to her. The girl nodded, committing those names to memory. Pleasure to meet you.

Suddenly the bus pulled up, and the girl got on it. It wasn’t the boys’ bus, so they had to settle with waving at her instead of fighting over who gets to sit next to her. As the bus drove away, the window opened and the girl stuck her head out, her black hair whipping in the wind. Bye!! I’m B-Rabbit, by the way!!! Then the window closed and the two boys looked at each other.

B-Rabbit? Steven said in confusion. That’s an odd name.

Alek shrugged, not caring. Her last is probably Rabbit and her first name is embarrassing or something. He guessed and Steven nodded thoughtfully.
