My eyes fluttered open and I found myself laying in the bedroom that I was staying at and could see that it was midday, and the sun was shining the brightest it has today. I sighed as I remembered today's earlier events..

I went to go get groceries, be back in a few!

I looked at the text and texted back.

Levi

Ok, see you in a bit

As I saw the 'Sent' button turn into 'Read', I shut off my phone and stretched. I exhaled as I turned to look around the room and examined it. I relaxed and laid back down, enjoying the comfort of the warm bed. Then I felt something jump on top of me. I jumped at the sudden movement and sat up on my bed.

The strange fur ball went underneath my sheets and I could see what it was. I could see its figure move towards me as if I were its prey. Then, I saw a head sticking out, "Moon!" I gasped, as I felt it push up against me. I could hear him purring and could see that he had a visible smile on its face.

I laughed as I could hear his purring, petting him as he leaned in more into my hand. My laugh started to die down and I smiled as he laid down on my lap. Then I stopped smiling, remembering that I'm not supposed to get attached... it's fine, I won't get attached.

I think..

Moon stood up and jumped off of the bed, then turned his head, looking to see if I was following him. I stood up and leapt out of bed.

I followed him until we stopped at the kitchen. I stared down to see Moon sitting beside his food bowl. It was empty.

"Ah, your food bowl is empty, you must be hungry!" I said to moon, I heard him purr once more, I searched for his food then found it inside of a counter under the sink. I grabbed the cat food and poured it in his bowl. He began eating.

I soon felt hungry, I didn't want anything too heavy so I decided I wanted a sandwich, a ham sandwich was what I wanted. I then stood up and grabbed some bread from the top counter, and some ham and lettuce from the fridge and began to make my sandwich.

I grabbed a knife to cut the ham so it could fit well in the sandwich, by then Moon was sitting next to me...

My hand slipped. The knife was falling, falling towards Moon. The only thing I could do was catch it.

The next thing I knew was me sitting on the ground holding my own hand and the knife right beside me, my hand was gushing out blood. Bright red blood.

I then heard the door open, " Levi! I am back with the groceries. Could you help me bring them inside?" He said. I didn't respond I was motionless, he was looking around trying to find where I was then he came to the kitchen "Levi where are yo- Oh my god Levi what the fuck happened?!" Pure shock was written in his face " Your hand is bleeding the hell?!"
He kneeled down and grabbed my hand to take a closer look at it. " Does it not hurt?" He asked " no, it doesn't" I replied.

"Of course it doesn't, you must be in shock. Stand up" he said, I did as told and stood up. He grabbed a rag and wet it, he then put the wet rag on my hand so it could soak up the blood. It burned. " damn.. it hurts now." I said. He was still holding my arm, spectating it. "You don't have to do this, you know.." I muttered " are you crazy?! It could be infected if you don't clean it properly!" " your going to hate me for this but I need to put some alcohol on it." He added. My eyes widened "oh no, you are not going to do that." I then took his hand off of mine and took a step back.
