TW MENTIONS OF S-H IN THIS CHAPTER

We arrived at the cafe and it looked small, like a family owned cafe. It felt comforting, like a childhood home I wished I could've had. I had the sudden urge to ask Jaxx something. " Why did you bring me here?" I asked, tilting my head in confusion. "Oh, nooo reason.." Jaxx said, turning the car off, "I just wanted to have a chat with you." He then smiled softly, " It's November 3rd and this cafe has special desserts on the third day of every month," he added, grabbing a bag from the back seat. "Oh, that's nice," I whispered to myself, shrugging.

We got out of the car and walked our way to the small cafe entrance. The name of the cafe was simple yet had a defined meaning. As I looked around, the name of the cafe was Family's Specialities, kind of ironic since I have a.. messed up life. My family's specialty was making each other cry, what a delight! That must be the special dessert in here, agony.

  As I was walking, Jaxx must've noticed that I was zoning out because he then put his hand on my shoulder which caused me to jump. "Levi, are you okay?" His face was full of concern as we were following the waiter that led us to our table. My eyes widened as I shivered at the feeling of his hand on my shoulder, " I- Oh uh yes- I'm okay, I was just thinking.." I replied, looking down at the floor.

We continued walking and his hand was still on my shoulder
I could feel people staring at me and jaxx, I bet they were thinking that we were.. together.. I felt myself getting hot again and flustered but I looked down so no one could see me.

  . "Here's your table," the waiter said. Then he walked away, leaving me and Jaxx alone. There was a lot of chattering at this cafe but we decided to get one away from all of the people. At our table it was a booth and as I looked around the cafe there were people on dates, some people studying, and there was a group of people celebrating someone's birthday.  

  Many faces. So many. It was as if they could all see me, they were all judging me- A distant and familiar song started to play.

  "Happy Birthday to you~ Happy birthday to you~ Happy birthday dear Alexis~ Happy Birthday to youuu~~!!" Then an eruption of applause and cheers burst and the birthday girl (who was very noticeable due to her being in the middle and having many people, gifts and balloons surrounding her) blew out the candles of her chocolate cake. It was decorated with strawberries which were covered in chocolate.

  I took my eyes off of the group and looked back at Jaxx who was looking at the menu. There were many caffeinated beverages and desserts (which almost all consisted of strawberries). In conclusion, this was a death zone for people allergic to strawberries. I could see that Jaxx was looking at the menu and I grabbed a menu to look at.
