Chapter 15

Jaxx's PoV

I sat up from my seat and glanced over at Levi who was looking at his messages as if he was waiting for someone to send him something. He looked down so I had to ask him what was wrong. "Hey, Levi. Are you okay?"

He looked over to me and said, "Huh? Oh, uhm yeah.. I'm okay." - "You don't look okay, tell me what's wrong." I spoke, my voice laced with concern as I stared at Levi.

I was received by silence until he shut his phone off and stared at me. "I am worried, Jaxx. The last time I was informed about how Luca was doing, he was locked up in his room with no food at all. He is fucking isolating himself because of my actions," Levi finally spoke, his voice slightly shaking. His voice was filled with a hint of anger yet mostly sadness as he remembered his brother.

"I just want to know how he is doing." He said, his voice almost a whisper, looking down and covering his face with his hands. I hate seeing him like this, miserable.

His childhood was fake. All he wanted was to actually be cared for and for people to see him for who he is, yet they called him a careless boy. I felt my lips turn into a frown and my eyebrows furrowed together as I felt a bit of sadness seep into my soul.

Careless boy.

Oh, so careless.

FLASHBACK

There was a scene going on in the back of the class. It was of a boy with dark raven hair who had no emotion on his face while other boys picked on him. I felt my face scrunch up in somewhat regret, as I knew that I didn't have the guts to defend him at the moment.

The raven haired boy went by the name of Levi. As the boys bullied him, he had no emotion on his face while he was being hit and called names.

My eyes gazed at Levi's face, I felt concern. Tears were rolling down his face, yet no one seemed to notice. It was as if the scene was a ghost and only I could see it.

The only thing plastered on his face were tears. "Poor boy.." I whispered to no one except myself. My eyes kept on darting towards the boys and Levi as their talk were harsh whispers.

I was too much of a chicken to do anything about it but then I saw my opportunity to comfort him when the boys suddenly got bored of Levi doing nothing and ran off to play silly games outside.

I watched as Levi just sat on the floor, just staring down at the ground. I built up the courage to walk up to him and breathed in deep before standing up from my seat and slowly approaching him.

He didn't seem to notice me as I walked up to him and just kept staring blankly at the floor. I could notice that there were faint blotches of blood on his arms and a bit on his face as well.

I gulped and finally came to a halt as I stopped in front of Levi. He seemed to notice me finally as he spotted my shoes approach him and lazily tilted his head up to look at me.

My red hair slightly covered my eyes and I quickly brushed them away before opening my mouth to say something. Nothing came out as I didn't know what to say as Levi just stared at me, confused.

"Are you ok?" I asked, yet mentally facepalmed. Realization hit me, 'Of course he's not..' 'Stupid..'  I thought, my eyes glancing at him before clearing my throat. "I'm sorry, clearly you're not okay, may I help you?" I asked, crouching down to look Levi in the eyes.

His eyes were dull and filled with no emotion as a red soft puffiness surrounded his eyes as he had previously cried. There were dark eye bags under his dark soulless eyes as his skin was slightly pale.
