Jonny awoke and saw Ma looking at his face. "Well, he is coming to." she said. Pa said, "Thank the Lord!" After regaining himself again, Jonny said, "I should have stayed back." "No son, the reason the indians left was because of you. After I saw you get hit, you got up off the ground and started shooting every indian around you. They fled like crazy from you. Son, you saved the day and that family. I am very proud of you." Pa said. Jonny looked at the foot of the bed he was resting on. "Well, If it hadn't been for the fact that Alisha rode over there and gave you water and taken care of you, I don't know if you would be here right now." Said Mrs. Thomas. "She did what?!?" Jonny exclaimed. Just then she came in and over to him. "How are you feeling? Can you get up?" She helped him up. "I see you returned the favors, Alisha." Jonny said. "I have to. It's the least I can do." She said as she handed him a glass of water. Pa and Ma looked at each other and smiled. "I think they are just right for each other." said Pa. "Shhh, don't rush the two of them." Ma said. "Let them figure it out on their own." Weeks passed and Jonny's arm slowly healed. Eventually it was perfectly healed except for a scar. But Jonny liked the scar because he considered it a token of love from Alisha, though she did not know.
