Hi Guys!

Sorry for the delay. Enjoy the next chapter.

Easton was literally burning with anger as if his whole body was on fire and only he knew how hard he was controlling himself from yelling at her for getting pregnant and ruining his mood. He had really planned to be nice to her as it was her birthday and was trying his best up until that moment but that one sentence from her made him wonder why did he even bother with anything for her birthday.

He huffed loudly, trying to release some of his anger with that one exhale but it was not helpful. Not at all and he knew he would not be able to restrain himself and would end up creating a scene in front of all the people that would ruin the reputation he did not even have yet. He would lose a face even before gaining it and it would all be on her, his useless wife.

Easton rubbed his palm on his face as he stood up abruptly from his seat and without sparing her a glance started walking away while she just watched him going away.

Lily just sat there with tears in her eyes as her mind replayed everything that had occurred in the last five minutes and she felt tears getting free from her eyes and kissing her cheeks. It broke her heart that the news of her pregnancy was so unpleasant for him. She had expected him to be happy. He was supposed to be happy, it was their first child after all but he was not and she could ot comprehend why.

Her thoughts were all over the place and the only conclusion she could get to was that he did not want a child. She did not understand why though, they had been married for more than three years. It was natural for her to get pregnant one day then why was he so upset about it.

She sat there silently while her thoughts kept on wandering, she waited for him to return for like forty minutes but there was no sign of him returning and the restaurant staff was able to catch on it and approached her, pulling her out from her distressed trance.

"Would you like to have anything else or should I bring the bill?" Lily wiped her tears and kept looking down, trying to hide her face as much as she could with her long blonde hair and muttering slowly but loud enough for the waiter to hear her, "Bill, please." The waiter nodded and she heard the sound of his footsteps going away but returned within two minutes and her bill and placed it on the table in front of her.

Lily felt her eyes widening the moment she looked at the amount mentioned with the bold and italics numbers. A soundless gasp escaped from her mouth as she realised she might not have enough money to pay for the dinner. Her frantic eyes went to the direction he went, hoping for him to return but she knew he would not. He was angry. Furious, and she knew he always walked away from her when he was angry. The difference was that he had left her behind this time.

Lily felt herself shivering at the thought of what would happen to her and reached for her bag, pulling out her wallet she found there was only a few hundred bucks and felt herself getting anxious. She could feel the doubtful eyes of the waiter and she felt embarrassed but wanted to push the inevitable as far as she could and pretended to look into her bag but luck was on her side when she found Easton's card that he had given her to buy a dress for the dinner.

Her body visibly relaxed and eyes glinting with the shimmer of relief upon finding that card and she quickly handed it to the waiter who swiped the card on the machine but to her horror the card was declined, "The card does not have enough balance." The waiter said, his polite tone from earlier getting a bit stern, "Do you have any other card, mam?" Her right hand instantly went to her left elbow and she started scratching herself there and just nodded her head and started to look inside her bag knowing very well that she would not find anything there.
