It has been a week since the little fight between the two groups. So far no one knew it looked to Harry that Moody really did keep his word, snitches get stitches. The school was buzzing with rumours about a late arrival from the Beauxbatons academy. "I heard they were something close to royalty." Cedric said excitedly. "Oh dear god, so they are ten times more obnoxious and arrogant than a regular French person?" Oscar groaned showing his less than happy mood to the new arrival. "Hey they aren't all like that." Oliver said defiantly. Rolling his eyes Oscar said. "How many times have they been rude to you just because you can't speak their language?" Oliver didn't answer, knowing he had lost the argument. "Oliver how many times." Oscar persisted. "Four times just this morning." He sighed. Oscar smiled in satisfaction. A moment of silence passed before the twins broke it. "They are saying the person will arrive at lunch." Oscar silently thanked the lord. "Thank god it's not in the morning it's to early for this and I need to think of some good insults." Oscar laughed. "Can you not just be nice?" Oliver sighed completely exasperated. "Yeah but only to people I like." Oscar whispered as he put his head on Oliver's shoulder. "Right anyway I have dark arts with Harry cya lads." Oscar waved as he got up and ran down the corridor. "BYE!" They all called back. Oscar ran into the dark arts room panting, he walked to the corner of the classroom just trying to get everyone's eyes off him. "Now that Mr Lynch has finally decided to join us we may begin the lesson." Moody barked as Malfoy and his group of  Slytherins snickered at him. Oscar went bright red but he felt a tap on his shoulder and saw his mate Harry. Harry gave him a reassuring smile which calmed him down. "Now today... we will have one of my favourite lessons." Moody said as he prowled the classroom. "We will be duelling each other." Moody barker with a glint in his eyes. The room flooded with concern and whispers. With a flick of his wand, the desks and chairs floated to the end of the classroom and a duelling stage appeared. Much like the he one he had done with Lockhart in his second year, Harry thought. "The rules are simple. Winner stays on!" Barked Moody. "GRANGER! MALFOY! Up now." Moody called pointing to the stage. Harry gave Hermione a mischievous grin then nodded which Hermione returned with a wink. "This will be so embarrassing for you mudblood. You don't stand a chance." Malfoy taunted. Hermione didn't say anything, contemplating how sweet her victory was about to be. The two got up on the stage at opposite ends then they bowed to each other and turned around. "On three! One... two... THRE-" before Mad eye could finish Hermione span around and shouted. "STUPIFY!" Malfoy squealed as he hurled off the stage. "SHE CHEATED! SHE CHEATED." Malfoy whimpered as he clutched his stomach. "Normally a teacher would have disqualified Granger." Moody turned to the class. "BUT IN LIFE YOUR OPPONENT WILL NOT WAIT FOR A COUNT DOWN! NOW GET UP MALFOY!" Moody barked, secretly smiling at Hermione. "NEXT!" Moody yelled. Hermione practically tore through everyone in the class room, until finally only two remained. It was Harry's turn. Secretly Hermione knew that Harry would win, but she didn't mind. At least she got to kick Ron's ass, which put a bright smile on her face. Harry got on the stage, half nervous half almost laughing. "ONE... TWO... THREE..." Harry's reaction was quicker than Hermione. "EXPELLIARMUS!" Harry yelled, disarming his mate. He didn't want to, but he knew he had to finish it, it would only be respectful to Hermione if he did. "RICKTASEMPRA." Hermione flew off the stage spinning mid air but landed lightly thanks to a charm put on by Moody. "Excellent Mr Potter. Now Mr Lynch your turn."(hi people who love hedric- my bestie Laura) Oscar groaned knowing he what was coming. He climbed on to the stage and bowed his head then turned around, gripping his wand. "ONE... TWO... THREE." Oscar span around only to be disarmed by Harry. There was a laugh at how easily Harry beat Oscar amongst the room. Harry mouthed sorry as he raised his wand. "STUPIF-" Harry started to tell bust suddenly, to Oscar, the room fell silent. Everything was painstakingly slow. Harry's mouth hardly moving as a slight light of a forming spell started to form. Oscar's hand started to raise. He didn't know what was happening it was like he was in a trance. Suddenly the room snapped back to its normal state, he lips moved and shouted, "BEITHIR TAN!" He didn't even mean to say it, didn't even know what he said. But he felt a sensation erupt from his hand and a crackling feeling in his fingers. A serpent made of fire erupted from thin air. It slithered and engulfed Harry's spell and hissed. Harry's spell came out it's inferno fangs as if it were venom, hitting Harry in the chest sending him flying. Oscar stumbled feeling as if he hadn't slept in days and the snake flickered before disappearing entirely. Harry looked up at him grinning. "What the hell was that?" He laughed in amazement. The class was to stunned to speak. Oscar shuck his head half scared half exhilarated. "I have no fucking clue!" Oscar exclaimed. "If I'm not mistaken... that was ancient Welsh." Moody said, a smile curling on his lips with a mad glint in his eyes. "It's been a while since I've heard that." Moody laughed however silent curiosity and suspicion flooded his mind. "It seems Oscar is the wi-" Before Moody could finish Oscar stormed out the room completely embarrassed and confused. Harry quickly followed him quickly followed by Hermione. "Harry no way. You should stay away from him!" Hermione called, grabbing his shoulder and pulling him back. "What you on about Hermione? He's my mate!" Harry said anger building up in his voice. "Harry he might be your mate but he seems really dark and dangerous. He just performed the dark arts casually without a wand." Harry snatched away from Hermione's arm. "I don't fucking care." Harry said now visibly angry. "Harry... just be careful around him for me, yeah?" Harry rolled his eyes but nodded to keep Hermione happy. He raced around the castle searching for his friend but couldn't find him, eventually he gave up knowing he wouldn't find him. It was soon lunch and anticipation was in the air. Everyone wanted to know who this new comer from France was. "Everybody please be on your best behaviour as someone of great importance joins us this year. Unfortunately due to several family matters they could not join when Beauxbatons firstly came. Now if you could all give a warm welcome... To Lady Megan Robinette of Provence." Dumbledore finished and the great Hall doors opened to reveal Madam Maxine leading a young girl. She wore beautiful blue Beauxbatons robes. And he face was slightly covered by the large woman. Madam Maxine shifted aside to reveal the girl. She had golden hair, turquoise eyes that somehow shifted colours and pale skin with rosey cheeks. "Wow she's pretty." Murmured Oliver to which was rewarded with a slap. "Call anyone else that again and we're gonna have problems." Stated Oscar. "Fair, I deserved that." Oliver replied stifling a laugh. "Boys honestly." Oscar said annoyed but quickly turning his attention to the new Megan. Megan shook Dumbledore's hand before hugging a beckoning Fluer and sitting down with her. To say there were whispers about this new, 'Lady Megan'. "Honestly I hope I never run into her." Oscar said. "Oh will you stop you've never even met her." Ginny said giving him a light punch in the arm. "No they are all the same!" Oscar said defiantly. Everyone rolled their eyes but put it past them. "Right, I have potions cya later." Oscar said quickening his pace to the dungeons hoping he wouldn't get on Professor Snape's bad side. They sat at their desks, Oscar near the back, it wasn't that he hated potions, as a matter of fact he was good at potions, he just hated the teacher. "Now class... please welcome... Miss Robinette." Snape sneered trying not to glare at his new student. She walked in visibly scared of the professor. "Take a seat." Snape coldly said clad he turned to the board. There were several Beauxbaton students and boys from Hogwarts or Durmstrang beckoning her to sit with them. She put on a smile and pretended not to notice before starting moving to the back. Oscar looked up from his notes and saw the politely smiling Megan walking up to the seat next to him. "No. No. No, do not fucking sit here please." He whispered trying not to glare at her. She smiled as she sat down next to him. "Hey sorry I forgot my notes can I copy yours." Megan whispered. Oscar furrowed his brow in surprised, wow she doesn't have a ridiculous accent, thank god for that! He rolled his eyes and slid his notes over to her, not making eye contact. She frowned at the slight rudeness but didn't say anything. Many times she tried to make conversation before finally Oscar snapped. "Why did you choose to sit with me? Why not your French peers?" Oscar angrily stated. At first Megan was taken aback before quietly laughing. "Can I tell you a secret?" Oscar didn't really care but nodded non the less. "I actually hate most French people." Oscar's eyes widened and finally he made eye contact with Megan. "They are so stuck up and condescending and I just can't be assed with them today." She chuckled looking down at her hands before back to the board. "AMEN MY SISTER." Oscar shouted slamming his hand down dramatically making everyone around him laugh and a furious Professor Snape turn to them. "Ten points from Slytherin Mr Lynch if you continue detention for a month." Snape said deadly calmly. Snape turned to the board and continued before Oscar and Megan quietly giggled. "Wow you really aren't what I'd thought you'd be." Oscar stated with a smile. "Why did you think I would be carrying frog legs wherever I go and saying WEE WEE before every sentence?" Megan laughed. "Kinda actually." Oscar replied. "Hey you wanna hang out after school? Don't get me wrong love Fluer but I need a break." Megan asked. "Sure, sounds fun." Oscar replied. Surprisingly the two had all their lessons together and overtime all the original negativity was forgotten as they spent the entire rest of the day together. And by the end they had become good friends. (Meanwhile Harry had been told by Hagrid that they would be facing dragons for the first task.)
