As the two approached Cedric looked over to Harry in surprise who broke away from his hand. He frowned as his eyes met mischievous one and a face with a large grin. "What are you smiling at?" Cedric smirked, "wanna race to the cup?" Harry asked excitedly. Cedric couldn't help but laugh. "I'll give you a head start." Cedric replied. "Your mistake." Harry shouted as he began to sprint towards the blue light of the cup. Cursing under his breathe Cedric immediately started sprinting as well, desperate to catch Harry. The two laughed and cursed at the top of their lungs as they became neck and neck to the cup. Until finally they within a metre of it, stopping the two champions abruptly. "Why did you stop?" Harry asked as he turned to Cedric. "Why did you?" Cedric countered. The two stood in silence as they eyed each other and the cup. "Take it..." Cedric finally said softly as a kind smile met his lips. "No Cedric I couldn't you are the really Hogwarts champion." Harry replied as he looked away from the cup and deep into those gray eyes he had grown to never live without.
For the next ten minutes the two countered back and forth who should take the cup until finally they were silenced by Harry stamping his foot down. "Together then?" Harry asked hopefully, Cedric mentally face palmed. Why didn't I think of that? He thought to himself as he felt a smile approach his lips. "Before we do may I have a celebratory kiss?" He smirked at seeing the blush on the Gryffindor's face. "You may." Harry replied grinning as he stood on his tip toes and pressed the two's lips together. Smiling into the kiss Cedric melted into it as he picked Harry up and spun him around, their lips still locked. Finally putting them down the two broke apart panting for breathe slightly. Looking at the cup their hands hovered two the opposite grips of the trophy. "On three." Harry smiled. With a glint in Cedric's eyes he spoke. "One..."
"Two..." Harry continue. And as their hands raced to the cup and grabbed onto the handles, they shouted together, "THREE!" Feeling their legs flung underneath them as they span at what felt a million miles per hour, their breathe was kicked out of them when their feet slammed to the floor, and their vision blurred, needing to refocus as the spinning stopped, revealing to Cedric a completely new place. However poor Harry had his glasses thrown off him and couldn't see a thing. He scrambled around trying desperately to find them which Cedric couldn't help but find undeniably adorable. Smirking he picked up Harry's glasses and put them on Harry's head as he brushed one of his raven lox out of his face. "You ok?" He soothed in his usual velvety voice. "Yeah, yeah I'm ok." Harry stammered as he winced getting back up to his feet. "Wow the cup is a port key." Cedric said as he walked over to the cup with amazement. "Where do you suppose we are?" Cedric asked not breaking contact from the cup. Harry didn't hear Cedric as he looked around becoming more and more terrified by the second as the place just felt evil. Finally making his way to a headstone, by chance he read the name. "Tom Marvolo Riddle." He gasped, with a sudden realisation. "I've been here in a dream." Harry said as he snapped around to meet his boyfriend's worried gaze. "Cedric we need to get back to the cup." In Cedric's happiness that both of them had won the Triwizard tournament he was sceptical. "What are you taking about?" He asked slowly as he gained his senses back from his blissful revelry. Feeling a shudder down his neck Harry turned to see a distant cloaked figure in the distance walking towards them. Squinting, Harry could see there was something in its arms. Perhaps blankets? Harry thought but he seriously doubted it. "Wands out do you reckon?" Cedric said trying to hide the fear in his voice. Nodding the two whipped out their wands, raising them ready for whatever awaited them. Now the figure was within fifteen metres of the two however its face was still hidden by its cloak. Suddenly some of the rugged blankets fell away, revealing a horrific sight. There in the bundle, lay a decaying, disfigured, baby like creature with blood red eyes. Pain shot through Harry head as his scar seared with pain as if a hot iron poker was being pressed against it. Crying out he dropped to the ground screaming in pain. "HARRY!" Cedric yelled as he rushed over to Harry but quickly returned his gaze to the figure. "WHO ARE YOU? WHAT DO YOU WANT?" Cedric cried as he pointed his wand ready to defend.Everything happened before the first tear could roll down Harry's cheek. With a shuddering, ear-splitting scream Harry knew what was coming as he tried to get up but the pain was just to much. He could only watch helplessly as the words that would haunt him for the rest of his life echoed into the night. "Kill the spare." A voice screeched. The hooded figure raised his wand as Harry cried desperately, trying to shield Cedric but it was to late. And then it was, two words, two words that had ruined his life and would not completely shatter what was left. "AVARDA KEDAVRA!" Harry heard the voice of Wormtail shout. And with a flash of green light, that he knew very well as he saw it in his nightmares. An incantation struck Cedric in the chest as he was flung into the air and dropped a few feet away. A silent scream left Harry's mouth as he looked over to the unmoving body of Cedric. "Please don't be dead..." Harry whispered. "Please you promised... I love you." Harry choked on the last part. Turning to an evilly smelling Wormtail. A sudden rush of pure hatred boiled In Harry's broken heart. As if the cracks in it spewed liquid anger that deeper into his blood. Voldemort himself was afraid he felt it in the boy threw their connection. Harry gave into the feeling as he shrieked, "CRUCIO!" As he stabbed his wand into Wormtail's chest. Ignoring the pain of his scar due to the closeness of him and Voldemort. Wormtail dropped to ground shuddering as he screams filled the night. So much so that crows left their trees in murders out of sheer fear of the screams. Harry continued to torture Wormtail. Not noticing that Nagini had taken her master and slithered him into the dark cauldron. Working with fast pace she gathered the ingredients, coiling up her snake body to add them to the great cauldron. Harry was so caught up in avenging his mate's death that he didn't even notice when she drove her fangs into his leg and retracted blood from his body. Savouring the taste she slithered back to the cauldron as Voldemort laughed evilly at his familiar. Letting the blood drip from her fangs she slithered back into the shadows waiting for her Master's return.
Harry looked upon the mangled corpse of Wormtail, at some point he must have died from the pain. "Coward." Harry muttered, before he felt the biggest pain in his scar yet. Turning around he saw the grinning figure of his destined enemy. Voldemort's skin was ghost white. His face almost snake like with slits for a nose and no hair to cover his dead skin. However what made him truly terrifying was his evil red eyes that glinted cruelly as he smirked. "Well done Harry, in another world you would have made a fine death eater." Voldemort laughed as he binded him to his farther's grave stone and summoned his followers.
I'm short the whole night played out just the same as we know it. He followers came, and watched as Harry and Voldemort duelled as the strings of fate's violin were struck. Until finally the moment where it wall changed. Their wands connected in perfect harmony as a beautiful Phoenix call echoed around them. As blue mist erupted from Voldemort's wand. That faded into two blue lights. His parents. The people Harry would always want but could never have. And then suddenly they were accompanied by all who Voldemort had killed in his recent form. But then why... Harry thought, was Cedric not there? Out of everyone he was the one he most wanted but also didn't want to see. However he was saddened by the lack of grey eyes amongst the spirits that he had learnt to never live without. "Harry listen! When the connection breaks you must get to the portkey! We can distract him for a few moments but only for a moment do you understand?" Harry heard his dad say but shook his head. "What about Cedric I can't leave him!" Harry cried. "You have to Harry, I know it is painful but you have to!" His dad pleaded as he himself almost cried. Feeling warm hands brush his face he leaned into it for comfort. "Let go. Sweetheart you're ready. Let go... let go..." Hearty heard his mother say. He gritted his teeth and clenched his eyes shut. Finally pulling his wand back the connection broke and the spirits attacked Voldemort. Harry ran to the cup and vanished. Looking one last time at those dead grey eyes. With tears in his eyes he heard a roar of defeat from Voldemort as he was ripped from that place and fell back into the grounds of Hogwarts. Passed out from the sheer sadness and grief...
