Harry had woken with a start, though he hardly got any sleep due to night mares and uncontrollable feeling of guilt. He wasn't sure if he could do it, how could he betray his friend like that? Harry gritted his teeth and went down to breakfast, not daring to look over to the Slytherin table. But unfortunately he walked straight into something. "Oh hey Harry, I was just looking for you. I wanted to tell you that I managed to make the majority of Slytherin house ditch those stupid badges but of course there are still some assholes wearing them." Harry looked up as his heart fell. The one person he couldn't look in the eye was staring happily into his. "Thanks Oscar, sorry I have to go to Ron and Hermione." He said as a pain in his chest starting to form. Oscar's face dropped as Harry brushed past him and completely side lined him, but quickly he formed a smile as he sat with a very happy looking Oliver. "What's wrong Harry? You look pale as a ghost." Hermione said with a voice of concern. He quickly shrugged off their questions and nibbled at a treacle tart. Not being able to stand him he got up as the guilt just built up and up in his chest until it caused him physical pain that he would never show. As he left, a certain Hufflepuff winced. Putting his hand on his chest he could feel pain, but it was a distant pain. He couldn't quite explain it. It was as if were an echo that wasn't his, and then the smell of Harry hit him, one that intoxicated him. He grew suddenly concerned with his boyfriend and he rose leaving the great hall and ignoring the confused questions of his friends. All that was on his mind was if Harry was ok. He didn't explain how he knew where he was going but he just did. His feet unconsciously leading him to the black lake and to a shore where the morning sun shimmered beautiful on the warm winters day, a rare occasion to say the least. Sure enough a raven haired teen was sitting their and Cedric's heart ached, knowing he was right and that the pain was Harry's. "Hey you." Cedric said as he hugged the young Gryffindor. "Hey Cedric. I'm glad you're here." Harry said as rested his head on the Hufflepuff's shoulder. "Harry what on earth made you feel such pain." Harry turned to him in surprise. "How did you know?" Harry said incredulous. "The hell with that. What is wrong?" Cedric said as he drew circles on Harry's back trying to soothe him. "I... I can't say." Harry said as he choked on a sob. "Why are you not allowed to say." Cedric asked. Harry shook his head and cleared his throat to stifle any sobs. "No... I'm just afraid of what you might think of me. Afraid you'll be ashamed of me" Harry said as he buried his face into Cedric's chest. Cedric held him close now completely worried wouldn't show it for the sake of Harry. "Shhhhh... Harry James Potter. You listen to me right now." Harry looked up his eyes slightly red and puffy. "Nothing you could do, could ever make me ashamed of you. You hear me? So tell me what it is this instant." Cedric said in almost a commanding tone. Harry sighed and took a few minutes to compose himself. With a shaky breathe Harry told him everything. About the Ministry about Dumbledore about Oscar and finally the plan. "Oh Merlin..." Cedric clutched Harry tight completely speechless at what he had heard. "Poor lad whoever has to go through that. Who is it Harry? Malfoy? Oh please tell me it's that little shit." The two turned to see the twins jumping down from a nearby tree. "How long have you two been here?" Harry asked slightly scared of how much they could have heard. "Enough to hear that you are going to lure a student like bait in order for the ministry to apprehend them. Very mischievous and cunning, we are so proud aren't we Georgie?" Fred said with a smirk. "Sure are Freddie. Now come on Harry."
"Who is it?" Fred finished George's sentence in the annoying way that the two did that Harry had grown to love. "It's... you promise you won't be angry at me." Harry asked cautiously knowing how close the pair had gotten with Oscar with their shared rebellious attitudes. "Why is it a Slytherin?" The twins asked, Harry nodded slowly. "Then why would we be mad? Go one tell." The twins say down with grins can't waiting to hear who it was, however they were sorely mistaken about the pleasure they would feel. "It's Oscar." Harry finally stated. The twins' mouthes fell open. "You are joking!" The twins bolted up. "HARRY YOU CAN'T! HES LIKE OUR THIRD TWIN!" Fred said completely stunned at what he was hearing. "I have to Fred, he's a big danger to everyone and I've practically been ordered by the Ministry of Magic. My hands are tied." Harry said almost crying however tears were starting to drip down his sad face. The twins looked at the boy, the boy they had viewed as their little brother for so long, and seeing him crying their faces softened. The two knelt down to Harry. Taking a deep breathe they finally spoke. "Ok Harry do what you have to do. We won't support you in this decision, but we won't stop you. And we still love you." Harry almost burst into tears of amazing joy and equally terrible sadness as he hugged the two tightly. He loved the two unconditionally and hated hurting them like this. But what could he do? Like he said his hands were tied. "Blimey is that the time? We've been out here for ages it's turned six o'clock." Cedric finally said looking at his watch as the three broke apart. Harry's eyes widened, six o'clock? Only two hours from now and he would have to do the good yet dreadful deed. "Thanks you two, anyway me and Cedric have to go. I have to erm... get ready." Harry finally spoke timidly. The two nodded obviously trying to hide the pain in their eyes but Harry could see it and it hurt him all the more. Cedric squeezed Harry tighter feeling his anguish and whispered sweet nothings into his ear until he felt better and the two walked off hand in hand back to the castle. As they entered the castle Harry saw Oscar helping someone carry a stack of books, he groaned knowing he would have to do it now. Harry gave Cedric a pleading look to which Cedric responded with a reassuring smile and gently brushed him forward to the young Slytherin. "Oh hi Harry." Oscar sounded slightly surprised. "Hey Oscar can I just talk to you for a minute." Harry tried his best to disguise his voice to a casual one. "Oh sorry can we talk later I'm kind of helping Gabrielle you know Fluer's sister with her books because they are quite large and Megan is helping Fluer with something." Oscar responded kindly which made Harry's heart ache. There was no way this ray of sunshine, I'll be it could turn into a raging storm cloud sometimes, could be as evil as Dumbledore claimed. But he gritted his teeth and stayed focus. "Oh no it's fine this will only take a few seconds. I was wondering if you wanted to meet me at ten to eight at trophy room." Harry forcefully said putting on an innocent smile. "Yeah of course cya then Harry byeeee." Harry watched as Gabrielle tugged on Oscar's robes and the two strode off. Harry felt like he was going to faint until he felt a warm soft hand clasp his shoulder, instantly knowing it was Cedric he held it and rubbed Cedric's knuckles with his thump and breathed heavily. "You are doing this for the greater good of everyone including Oscar. You are not a bad person." Cedric reassured Harry. With a last final deep breath Harry spoke, "I know." He said softly but not fully believing those words.

RomanceI absolutely hate the fact that Cedric dies in Goblet of Fire and the fact that he picked that disgusting Cho Chang over Harry so yeah I'm writing how I wanted it to go. (Non of these characters or places/terms are mine most belong to JK Rowling)
