Chapter 40- I believe you will do the right thing

Merlin paced back and forth at the Astronomy tower for what seemed like hours as the large gathering of shifters, order members and vampires watched contently, Mcgonagall still wasn't talking to Dumbledore after finding out he was a divine sorcerer from the Arthurian era. Finally the young man with jet black hair turned to them with the same brilliant twinkling blue eyes as Dumbledore, it seemed that was the one feature he didn't change over tue years. "Morgana is gathering her forces like last time, the remaining druids have come to her side and have deserted me, many of the Dragons and Giants have sided with her as well as the acromantulas and dementors, a small group of centaurs have been spotted in her ranks and many other witches and wizards." Merlin spoke as he continued to pace and the room was void of noise except the occasional mutter. The twins clung onto Harry as Cedric sat protectively next to his husband, his grey eyes piercing the room defensively. "So what you're saying is... we're screwed, how many allies do we have again?" Harry asked as he readjusted Gabriel on his lap. "Well... we have the other half of the dragons, a small group of giants thanks to our amazing keeper of keys Hagrid." Merlin nodded to Hagrid who puffed out his chest proudly. "And we have the merpeople as allies and the rest of the centaurs have promised to stay neutral." Merlin finished as he two sit down in the dimly lit room of candlelight. Merlin was in silence for a moment before his head snapped up and he shot towards Ginny and Luna. "You were once in a company with Oscar LeFay, did he mention anything to you, anything at all, if not do you still have contact with your older twin brothers Miss Weasley?" Merlin asked as he cocked an eye at her. Luna shook her head vigorously before Ginny responded. "No he didn't, and I haven't seen Fred and George in months." Ginny said as she sat herself closer to Luna. Merlin sighed as he continued to pace back and forth. "Let's have a rest and discuss this in the morning, we are all very tired and we should wake up all refreshed." Molly Weasley offered as she stood up with Arthur and her children. There were murmurs of agreements to which Merlin agreed. "Yes, yes, there are rooms prepared for you in the castle, go have some sleep." Merlin spoke as he made his way to the edge of the Astronomy tower and looked out in thought. The guests muttered to themselves as they filled out the room, leaving Merlin to himself. As he looked out into the dark sky and still moving forbidden forest he spoke under his breath, "What are you planning Morgana?" As the wind swept his words away he too moved out the tower and made his way to his office.

Harry's eyes fluttered open as he heard the loud snoring of Cedric, making him chuckle lightly in the dirty blonde's embrace, he wriggled out of Cedric's clutches and moved over to Archer and Gabriel's little beds and smiled at the swiftly snoring. However a loud crash over the now shuddering castle waked all three of the sleeping boys awake. Cedric sprung out of bed as he bared his fangs, despite being now human there were some characteristics of the vampire he still clung to, for example fangs and above average speed and strength, the two wizards readied their wands as they locked the doors extensively behind them to protect their children. Sprinting down the corridors the two finally made it to the courtyard and raced down the grand bridge. There was a gathering of order members and others watching at the magical border of Hogwarts which was strange. "What is going on?" Harry asked as the witches and wizards moved aside for him, moving next to Merlin. "It seems your friends have brought some guests with us." Merlin spoke with a pointed glance at the Cullens. Harry looked about confused until a bolder came crashing down on the magical boundary of Hogwarts, shattering instantly. "What do you mean!" Harry asked as he looked to the vampires, a worried glance plastered on their faces. "The Volturi have been made aware of your children and believe that Edward has turned them to vampires, breaking our most important law." Carlisle spoke as he looked out into the distant forest. "The Volturi?" Harry asked frantically at the mention of his children. "Our vampire royalty." Esme answered bitterly as she followed her husband's gaze. "Why? Why? Why are they coming for my children and husband?" Harry asked as he grasped a hold on to Cedric's arm. Carlisle looked at the two painfully before answering however Rosalie beat him to it. "Because children have no control of their vampire abilities they always reek havoc and chaos, making our secrecy to humans at risk. So if they think you're children are children you have turned to vampires than they are going to stop at nothing to..." she paused as she swallowed down the bile in her throat. "To end them." She finished as the gathering shuddered and looked out to the border, suddenly there was a whip of wind and a blur of many, and there stood in front of them were many cloaked in red and black, except for one without his hood up and decorated in much gold and jewellery.
