****Akane's POV
Gaara was sitting in my chair while I sat in between his legs doing paperwork. I groaned, and rested the back on my head on his shoulder. "I hate paperwork.. This isn't what I thought I would be doing as Hokage."
He chuckled lightly. "Well, things aren't always what they seem."
I sighed, "I know. I just thought there'd be more action, you know? I mean I know I've got to protect my village and all, but nothing really happens in Konoha. But we're getting a new graduating class of ninja soon and I get my own team!" I smiled excitedly. "The last time I got to be in charge of a team was when my dad went on a mission and I substituted in for him."
"Well that is exciting." he smiled softly.
"I can't wait!"
"I can tell you're very excited." he smiled and chuckled again.
"Very, very very~ I can't wait to watch them grow up into powerful ninjas." I said.
He smiled once again and wrapped his arms around my waist. I turned my head, grinning up at him as he pecked my lips. My smile grew. Once he saw how his lips made me happy, he found mine again, kissing me.
Kissing him back, I smiled under it as he began deepening it. I started getting a little nervous. Usually he just kissed for a few seconds then pulls back. I didn't want it to go any farther so I pulled away.
"Have a problem kissing me?"
"No, not at all." I giggled. "But I've gotta finish my paper work.....Gaara?"
He raised a non existant eyebrow. "Hmm?"
"Do you ever think about your parents?" I asked.
He didn't tense up, but only answered in one swift, "No."
"Oh.." I answered quietly.
"Why do you ask?"
"I was just wonder is all." I answered, starting my paper work again. "You know you don't have to stay here with me. Why don't you go and find Naruto? I'm sure he'd like talking to you again." I suggested. "It must me boring watching me do work."
He shook his head. "As long as I get to be with you I'm fine with it." Gaara kissed my cheek, and I blushed slightly.
"You're so sweet, I'm glad I have you." I smiled.
"And I'm glad I have you too." his grip around my waist tightened and after about fifteen minutes of silence, he broke it. "I think I will go and find Naruto. I have to ask him something." he told me as his body disappeared into sand and stood by the door.
"He should be either at the training grounds or Ichiraku Ramen." I looked up at him.
"Okay, I should be back soon."
"But I may not be here. I'm going to the academy later on, Iruka-sensei requested me there to help with promoting them since the other instructors are all on missions." I told him, writing a few words down on paper. I knew that he nodded but didn't reply to me, just left in a swirl of sand.
Now that I was alone I could pobably get more work done. But time passed quickly and I had to leave for the academy so I left all of my paper work and walked down to my old school.
This place sure did bring back a lot of memories. I smiled to myself and entered the building. Everyone looked at me but I kept walking until I reached Iruka's room, and slid the door open. Immediately, all eyes were on me. "Hello Iruka."
"Lord Hokage." he bowed. "Everyone as you all know our Hokage, she is here to help with promoting you all to genin." the sensei announced to the classrom.
"I will also be a squad captain. Or your sensei. Iruka will be assigning the ones that pass onto a three to two man squad. And since I am Hokage, there are possible times that I will have more important things to cover so I will be having another jounin train and go in replacing me for the time of my absences'."
Whispering was heard around the room. "Alright I will call you all up, and you will go to the room down the hall. THat is where Lord Hokage and I will be assesing you." Iruka hushed the class and they all watched him. Both of us leaving, walking down the hallway to a room with headbands .
"Do you think you'll manage well with being Hokage?" Iruka asked as we sat down.
"Yeah, I can handle it. As I said, I'll have a substitute Jounin. I've already got someone in mind, but there's really no saying if he'll actually comply with it."
Iruka nodded as a the students began coming in after they did the shadow clone jutsu, proudly leaving with a headband I had tossed at them. I was pleasantly surprised in the confidence this years graduates have. It just makes me even more excited to be a sensei.
