Oh my! I'm so hungry

The next morning, the owner of the shop woke up maya and said in an angry tone" hey you this girl why are you sleeping in front of my shop don't you have a house"
Maya quickly got up and apologize
         "Sir I'm really sorry" and she left. Some minutes later, after she have walk for a very long distance, she stopped and touch her stomach and said in her thought
      "Oh my! I'm so hungry, I have not even drank water since mourning"
She looks around were she was standing and saw a Restaurant
   

                ( Flash back)

"You know my child in the outside world, nothing comes for free and also money is very important without money you can not buy anything and with money you can buy plenty things" maya's mother said

  "Really mother,so you mean with money you can buy anything you want" maya asked
  
   " Yes my dear, but incase you go to the outside world one day, you have to be careful" maya's mother said
 
  "That's not a problem mum, I promise to be extra careful" maya said smiling.

Maya wanted to cry but she put on a smile on her face and said
    "Thank goodness, mother told me money is important here, if not I would have been beaten to death today"
    Some minutes later after she have think about what to do, she went to the restaurant, she kneels down and asked the owner of the shop
      "Madam please can I help you to do your chores so that you can give me some food, I don't have any family and I am very hungry" maya told the woman with tears in her eyes.
     "Let me think about it dear, please stand up and stop kneeling" the woman said and went inside her shop.

   Maya stand up and waited for the woman. Some minutes later the woman came out with an Apron and hand it over to maya.
      "Ma thank you, thank you I really appreciate your kindness"
     "No need to thank me, I should be the one thanking you for helping me to do my chores" the woman said to maya looking happy
    Some minutes later, maya started washing the plates after she finish washing the plates the madam gave her food and some money and told
   "After you finish eating you can go"
   "Thank you ma, once again"
The woman left and started attending to her customers.
  Some minutes later after maya have finished eating she went to the and told
    " Thank you ma"
When she was about to go, she saw  the woman looking pressured, because of the huge numbers of  customer she was attending to, and she said in her thought
    “I think I should help her serve the food to the customers before I go”
Then she went to one of the customers and asked
    "Sir what do you want to order"
   "Are you new here" the man asked
   "Yes sir" maya answered politely with a smile on her face.
  "Ok give me a plate of rice and also a lap of chicken" the man ordered
    I will bring it right away she went to bring the food when the woman asked her. 
    "I thought you have left already" the woman asked
  "Actually I was about to, but when I saw the numbers of customers so I decided to stay and help" maya answered
   "Thank you my dear"
  "That man over there ordered rice and chicken"
   The woman gave her a plate of rice and chicken, then she went to serve the food to the man.
  This happens continuously  and it was almost in evening, maya told her
  "Ma I will get going"
  "Hey wait my dear" the woman went inside her shop and brought out some money and gave her with some clothes ( a jean and a crop top) to change into. Maya collected the  money  and went inside the shop to change, after she finish changing she thank the woman. The woman told her looking a bit shocked
    "Anytime you need anything always come and ask"
"Ok ma, bye"
  After maya left the woman said in her thought
    "How did the colour of her cap change" still looking shocked.

    Some minutes later, maya was walking on a street , when a bike coming with a speed splash dirty water on her. Maya was looking very angry and said with a loud tone
    "Hey you, are you blind can't you see"
  The bike man stopped and turned to her and said
   "I apologize, I did not know that you were there"
  "What, am I that small that you can't even see me" still looking angry.
   "I have already apologize can I go now" the bike man said with a cold tone.
   "You have already apologize and you want to go, what about my dress? You have to pay for it" maya said shouting.
   He gave her a sum of money with his business card and drove off looking extremely angry.
  Maya kept the money inside her pocket and check the card he gave to her and read It out.
    "Harris company, an address, a phone number. Why did he give me this" she put it in her pocket and continue walking.
