"Mum, I am home!" Evelyn called out, stepping into the kitchen. Before she could talk to her mother, she needed to collect herself. She took a deep breath and thought how she was gonna explain what happened.
"Hello Evie, how was school? You wanted to talk to me?" Her mother was sitting on the couch. "Yeah. Something bad happened." "Oh sweetheart, sit down first, and I will listen, okay?"
Evelyn hesitantly took a seat next to her mother. "So, I used my quirk. On someone." "What?! Oh god, what happened?" "I was walking home and got attacked by my classmate. He was mad that I rejected him. I was kind of helpless and didn't know what to do." The girl tried justificate herself. She feared her mother's reaction, thinking that she would yell at her. Instead, her mother hugged her. "I am sorry, Evie. We will sort that out. It is not your fault."
The girl sighed in relief, tears starting to form in the corners of her eyes. "How is your classmate? Is he in the hospital or is he..." the woman didn't dare to end her sentence. "He is in hospital, but he got hurt badly." "I see. I will get an lawyer in case they want to take legal action." Her mother rushed to the house telephone. Evelyn listened how her mother argued with their lawyer. "The lawyer told me that we should talk to his parents and the police. They will note it as self-defence and hopefully that will be it. I will make an appointment for a testimony, can you give me the name of your classmate, so I can get their parent's contact from your school."
Evelyn wrote her mother the contacts down. "Did you get hurt, if the injuries not gone, we should make photos of them." Her mother added, getting her smartphone. They made photos of the cut on the girl's cheek, the few smaller ones on her body and the marks caused by the electroshocks.
The ringing of the doorbell got their attention, "It's Katsuki, I guess." With that, she opened the door for the blonde boy. "Hi Katsuki, hope you're not mad i left earlier." "It's fine, the boy huffed. "I made notes for you." He shoved the papers in her direction and stomped up the stairs."Evie, sweetheart, why don't you join Katsuki and I make sure to call this boy's parents." "Okay, thanks mum."
The black haired girl threw herself into her bed, groaning. "How was school?" She questioned Katsuki, grinning a bit. "Boring. Why did you leave?" "I wasn't feeling well."
"Katsuki, wanna go jogging?" "You and jogging? Are you sure?" "Yes, I am serious." She chuckled getting ready. "Wait, don't you have therapy on Fridays?" "I cancelled it. Let's go now."
"We should take a break." the girl panted, resting her hands on her hips. "Hey, Idiot, are you hungry?" "Oh yes! We have a Kebab-shop around here." She took his hand, leading him. They ordered their food and decided to eat outside. "Hm, they should have put more chilli sauce." "Never thought you could handle spicy food." Katsuki mentioned surprised, "Next time I am gonna cook you spicy food, if you can handle that of course." "I can handle spice damn well!" She snickered playfully. "Yeah, we will see." He grinned.
"That was fun, we should do stuff like this more often." Evelyn suggested, "Sure, why not."
Now the two returned home. Katsuki went to take a shower and the girl played some video games. "Oh, you are already done. That was fast. Wanna join me?" She offered to the blonde, giving him a switch controller. "What do you want to play?" "Mario Cart." He got the game and the two played for a few hours, before going to bed.
"Hey Katsuki. Are you still awake?" She whispered. "Yes idiot. What do you want?" He huffed. "Wanna go out?" "It's 2am!" "So it's a no?" "Yes, it is a no." "Okay." She mumbled disappointed going back to bed.
