Chapter 20

Spoiler warning for SAW I and Paranormal Activity!

"So, what film do you want to watch? I have some horror films, romance, comedy and animated films." The girl had her eyes fixed on the different films. "I would suggest horror." The blonde stepped closer, now standing behind the girl and looking over her shoulder. His warm breath blew into Evelyn's neck, his closeness made her nervous. "Uhm, I have Midsommar, Saw I to VII, Unfriend, Smile, Paranormal Activity on DVD." She listed the films in a stuttering manner. "Then we will watch Paranormal Activity first." He reached from behind, grabbing the case of the DVD. His hand brushed her shoulder, making the girl gasp. She didn't know where this sudden nervousness came from.

The two sat down, getting comfortable. They already had salted and sweet popcorn, crisps, and some sweets on their table. In addition to that, they also had chips and chicken tenders as well as some soft drinks. The started the film and Evelyn wrapped herself in a blanket.

The girl shrieks when the film's main character looks seemingly through the screen with a demonic expression. "Oh dear lord." The girl whispered, looking at Katsuki next to her. He was startled as well.

"Okay, how about we watch SAW. It is more of a splatter and not as scary." "Paranormal Activity wasn't scary, you are just a scaredy-cat, hah. But if you want that, then sure, shorty." Katsuki grinned cocky. The blonde swapped the DVD and sat back down. He moved a closer and rested his arm on the couch behind her.

Katsuki felt his stomach churn at the sight of the man cutting off his leg. Meanwhile, Evelyn was happily munching on the chicken tenders. "How can you watch that while eating, this scene is utterly disgusting." The boy blurted, covering his mouth with his hand. "I would have never thought that you are so easily disgusted." She laughed, eating another chip.

After that, they decided that they will watch another genre. "Enough horror for today." The girl stated, looking through the film covers. "What about Fifty Shades of Grey," the girl smirked playfully, causing the boy to blush. "Don't worry, that was just a joke." She laughed, wanting to put it away. "Sure, we can watch that." He grinned. "Sure thing." She shrugged and put the DVD into the player.

She leaned onto the blonde with her focus on the film. Evelyn had the urge to spoil him, after all she knew what would happen. The girl and her friends have watched the film several times, especially because it was Lilyana's favourite film.

"Do you think they get together? Like as a couple?" Katsuki whispered, glancing at Evelyn. "I won't spoil you. You will see." She replied with her eyes glued to the TV. Katsuki's stare was fixed on the girl, taking in all of her features.

He liked the way her eyes lit up when she was having fun, like they did right now. Katsuki liked her presence, even when he thought that she was annoying, he has grown to like her. "Katsu, look, they're fucking." The girl snickered, pointing towards the screen. This broke him out of his stare. "What?" He muttered confused. The scene embarrassed the boy. Evelyn turned to him, an upon the sight of Katsuki's face, she began to chuckle. "Aww Katsu don't get shy." She leaned onto Katsuki, holding onto his shoulders. Their faces were mere centimetres away. The boy's cheeks reddened even more. Abruptly, the girl leaned back, snickering. "Oh, I am just kidding with you. You should have seen your face." She imitated his shocked face, grinning.

Katsuki decided to turn the tables. He pushed the girl onto the couch, leaning above her. One hand was placed next to her head, to support his body weight, and the other was caressing her face. Evelyn blushed furiously, trying to avoid his gaze. "Hey shorty, look me in the eyes." He gently lifted her chin. Their eyes met, and the girl lightly bit her lip. Time stopped, and their hearts pounded in their chests. His face inched closer and the girl's lips slightly parted. Desire was in the air.

All of a sudden, the voice of Evelyn's mother echoed through the house, "I am home!" Shock was written on their faces. The two created distance between each other, trying to hide their embarrassment. "Ah, there you are." She smiled at the two and began unpacking the groceries.
