Chapter 18:He's alive?

Previously "Everything falls apart."

While walking to the table to place my paperwork down, I felt a presence in front of me that felt familiar to me. I looked up, and the figure was coming from the shadows. The figure was coming to light, and I dropped my paperwork then tears started forming around my eyes.

Grayson noticed and quickly came to my side, saying, "what's wrong sky?."

I pointed to the figure in front of me, and Grayson turned to the figure. His eyes widened, and he stood there for a minute.

I no longer hesitated and ran to the person and hugged them. They hugged me back and pulled away then I said, "you are alive."

I started crying and hugged him again, then said, "you're alive, Connor."

I didn't want to let go because I didn't want to lose again or come close to death ever again. Holding him tightly, he said, "I'm glad I get to see everyone again."

I pulled away from him and let him and Grayson have their moment together. I notified everyone to come down into the living room, and I heard gasp all around; then I looked over at m'gann. I saw the tears in her eyes, and she said, "Connor?." you could hear the crack in her voice and pure sadness in her eyes.

He responded to her, "it's me,m'gann."

Everything becomes slow, and time is not in its tracks. They look at each other, and Connor opens his arms while m'gann slowly runs to him. 

It was one of those moments in movies where two lovers are apart, and then by the movie's end, they find their way back to each other. 

That was them, and they finally hugged each other; then I moved over to Grayson and whispered, "we should leave them to have their moment together."

He agreed, and everyone else agreed as well in their heads. I picked up my paperwork, was on the floor, and went up the zeta tube to Batcave, with Grayson following right behind me. I stepped out of the zeta-tube and saw bruce was there, so I walked up to him and handed him the paperwork he wanted.

I went upstairs into my room and decided to nap, so I lay on my bed and got under the covers. Then I closed my eyes and fell into a deep slumber.

5 hours later.....

I heard my door open, then closed and turned to see Grayson. He walks over to my bed and sits right next to me. I felt his hand on my cheek, and he said, "well, hey, sleepyhead."

I looked at him, leaned into his hand, and said, "I just needed a little break from kicking Talia's ass, and how's Connor doing?."

He responded, "He's adjusting to everything but other than that, I think he's just happy to be with us and with m'gann, to be honest."

I grinned slightly and said, "I'm glad he's back with m'gann because those two are perfect for each other, and I like to see where they end up."

He nodded and said, "yeah, they've been flirting for a long time now, and it's great to see they both finally acted on it."

He leaned down to give me a peck on the lips and smiled about it. We both looked into each other eyes, and he leaned in once again with a deeper kiss. As he kissed me, I felt his hand go down to my neck and move his body on top of me. Our lips were in sync, and things heated, but someone had opened the door.

We both heard the door open and pulled away from each other. We turned to see Jason right in front of us. 

Jason said, "well, I hate to stop whatever is happening here, but we have an emergency down in mount justice."
