Anoras point of view
As I'm holding my muffin and smiling at the ethan dude, I look at the time. SHIT! It's 8:10. I take the muffin and run out the door. I cross the street without looking both ways and run inside to the coffee shop just to bump into a tall man with black fluffy, long hair and septum piercing, he scares me a bit.
"And you must be Anora I assume?" The man questions with a deep but calming voice.
I look at his name tag, Aidan F. He must be the owner of this place.
"Yes, I'm Anora, Anora Hamings. I'm so sorry for being late" I say with my head down, scared to make eye contact.
He sighs then giggles "It's not even that late. Come on, let's talk about this in my office."
After talking and looking at my information he hired me. He then took me to teach me how to use all the coffee makers and shit like that, but as he was reaching for something I saw some sort of marking on his wrist, it was a semicolon tattoo. He quickly puts his hand down and pulls down his sleeve and I look up at him. He stays quiet.
"You know, I had a friend who ended her own life. She was sixteen. She did it because of her father abusing her in many types of ways. If it was mentally, physically, or sexually. I wish I did something but you know she's probably happy where she is." I explained to him.
He looks at me confused. "Do you believe in god?"
"My parents raised me really catholic, but i do think souls or ghosts go somewhere beautiful and peaceful. What made you stop from...you know."
"My mom. My dad was her first love, but sadly he died from suicide when I was thirteen. I still remember walking in and seeing him. Just staring at his semicolon tattoo knowing this wasn't his first time and it worked. When I was fourteen I started doing drugs, I then overdosed at sixteen. When I woke up at the hospital, I saw my mom sleeping next to me. I thought about it for a sec, not only would my mom have to bury her first love but her son too. My dad would probably want me to take care of her, so I stayed clean for her. At eighteen my mom got cancer and I got the family business, the coffee shop. So everything I do is for her, and only her."
I stood there, shocked. I should have hugged him but I just patted him in the back.
...
After he gave me the rest of the tour and how to work on stuff he told me I could start working tomorrow morning. As I walked to the door I realized it was raining.
"You should probably start running to your car" Aiden said with a smile.
I turned to look at him. "I don't have a car, it scares me to drive. I walk."
That smile turns to shock. "Oh well wait for me right here" he then runs to the back. I stand there confused. Is he really driving me home? He then comes back with his jacket on and car keys.
"You really don't have too" I say
"Trust me, I really don't want one of my employees walking in the rain."
As we walk and get in the car, we talk about things we like, hobbies, food, music artists, and stuff like that. We have more in common than we thought.
Once we get to my apartment, I start to go grab my purse.
"Wait" Aiden says as he grabs my hands.
I look at him confused "what"
He then lends over and presses his lips to mine and kisses me. I take my hands away and put them on his face to make him keep kissing me-
"Anora? You okay?"
I look at him in confusion "what! I'm sorry I must have blacked out."
"Ohhh. Well as i was saying you left you muffin and thought you must have wanted back." he says.
I sit there confused about what just happened. I grab the muffin "thank you" and leave the car.
I walk up the old wooden stairs to my apartment and stare at the muffin. Did I just think about kissing him? No, I just met him. I'm probably just tired.
