Chapter 8: The red and black

Anoras point of view
I sit at the stairs outside of the apartment. I'm smoking a box of cigarettes that Aidan gave me before I left. God, how I missed smoking. I don't even know why I quit. I mean don't get me wrong smoking is pretty bad but today I could care less.
Once me and Aiden went inside after that kiss, we cleaned up. Then, we went to his office. He was supposed to do some paperwork until he pulled me to his lap and we made out. His kisses were the best, his hair in my fingers were soft, his hands inside my shirt gave me chills with every movement, but his member between my legs was better than all the times I've done it. I mean don't get me wrong, I've had sex many times in my life but somehow with him was different. Yes, he passed the awkward-condom-moment and didn't care if he was going to rough on me, but i didn't care. It was perfect.
I'm in love with him.
Oh, but Ethen.
At some point I have to tell him. I technically cheated on him.
But, Aiden.
I'm in love with Aiden, not Ethen. I just like him, that's it.
"I guess I missed judging your innocences." I hear behind me.
I turn to see Rory standing behind me four steps away.
"I thought you were at work?" She says.
"Something came up." I say.
"You got fired?!" She says as she sits next to me.
"No, but I wish I did after what happened." I say.
It's true. I might have liked it but i don't think we could see each other the same. We both cheated tonight and I can't take that back.
"Then what happened?" She asks.
"Can we please change the subject." I ask.
"Okay, can I have a cigarette then?" She asks.
"Do you even know how to smoke it?" I ask.
"I did it all the time in high school before I dropped out. Kinda regret it due to that being my only source of getting them."She says while I hand one to her from the box. Honestly i don't care, at some point we all did it in high school, even middle school.
As she lights it I ask "How did things go with your sister?"
"Shitty. She acts the same like we did as kids. Still dads favorite, still asks him for money, and still trying hard to stay his favorit to get the business. So I argued with her about it and I stormed off. I mean don't get me wrong, the food was great, I missed rich food but she's just a bitch." She explains.
We stay quiet for a bit.
"If I tell you what happened tonight, do you promise not to tell Maya?" I ask.
She giggles "you really think after that I'm going to tell her something you don't want me to? But to answer your question, no, I won't tell her." She says
I sigh "Me and Aiden...we did something we shouldn't have."
"Oh, I'm assuming you guys cheated?" She asks.
I nod.
"I mean it wasn't my fault! I am in love with someone I can't have. I cheated on a guy I barely like and loves me. But Aiden loves me." I say as I try not to cry.
"Well if I'm being honest, Maya doesn't deserve Aiden. And I saw how he looks at you, and how you look at him. But at some point you have to tell Maya, and your boyfriend."She explains.
She's right. I do have to tell them at some point, and the way we see each other is different.
"Thank you." I whisper, wiping my tears off.
She hugs me. "Let's go inside. It's cold, I think we can smoke the rest inside." She says as she gets up. She gives me a hand and we head inside.
She isn't all that shitty like Brett said, I think imma likes her.
