"You going somewhere?" asked my mom from the kitchen, as she saw me crossing to the living room.

It was clever of my dad, to design a house where the control center ( the kitchen) could see everything happening inside the house.

"Yes. Library."

"Get back before 9."

"Bye." I said, and walked to the library, listening to 'Owl City' on the way.

Owl City was someone I grew up with. Yeah, they would even know, I existed.

"Hello Isaac." The librarian greeted me as soon as she saw me; I was one of the regulars.

"Hey. How are you doing?" I asked.

"I'm good. You?"

"I'm fine." I said.

"It'd be a miracle when you'll get 'grand'." She winked.

I smiled, "I don't believe in miracles."

"Go read Isaac. No one can win with you." she said. "You always have something to reply."

"I'm sorry, I'll go." I said and fished out the list of the books I had written down from my pocket. I paused on my way  to the third aisle and unfolded the piece of paper. But no, it was not the 'the list’ it was Alyna's email address and her number. It had been weeks, and it was in my pocket. Still.

I slapped my mind. I don't know how but I did.

I rushed to the library's café, literally like in the movies, swiped my card and rushed to search for a free computer.

I ran to the only free cubicle, and woke the computer up from sleep. I clicked on the search engine and typed in the address for Facebook.

The internet was so damn slow. Finally, it worked after what seemed like years. I logged into my account, and waited, then finalized when the page was done loading. I typed in her number and 'TADAA', there she was, 'Alyna', from her display picture, I recognized her.

I hope she remembers me I thought as I clicked the 'add friend' option.

I was literally cursing myself for forgetting that note. Just like that. After fifteen minutes of nothing,  I logged out of my account, and fished out my cell phone as I waited for the Internet to work its magic of logging out my account. And that was the stupid moment when I realized that I had access to Facebook from my phone 24/7 and I instead rushed  to the library. I mean, what the hell was wrong with me?

I started looking for the books I had wanted after a while; they were all about death and life, in short about dying and living. I wrote down the points I could write about. Well, yeah, the topics suggested by the magazine were mostly about death and crimes. Like: Why did people become criminals, and why is the crime rate increasing every year around the globe. I was  against writing that though; I mean people read to relax, not to know about how much the crime rate increased.

But yeah, that's what sells their stuff.

So I walked back  home, after writing one of the articles, it was something I was proud of.

I got home, and sat to read. My phone buzzed just then, it was a notification from Facebook.

I unlocked my phone, and it said,

'Alyna accepted your friend request'

Crackers popped up inside me, when my screen displayed her message.

Alyna: Isaac, I thought you forgot I existed.

Me: I didn't, it’s a long story!!

Alyna: Aaaa. How are you?
